If Crossett can pull this one out, then we can be assure at least the fourth seeded.... But we need to play a full game and no vacation for the eagles in the first half....the Billies are improving but the Eagles are as well... This should be a good one!

mossflyer

Tell me how they will secure the fourth seed with a win?

LJ06

You'll secure the 5th not the 4th

green-eagle

Sorry about that! Yall are correct...

If we win than we can ensure a 5-5 record which is not bad considering that we were expecting not to win a game.... But lets not get ahead of ourselves here....for we have the Ashley Bowl coming up and we know anything can happen in this game!!

It will be a big game for us if we can put together two good halves we should do pretty good lately and tonight also we have been playing good the first half and the second half seems like the bottom drops out. I see the other team is making some adjustments the second halves and we are not or just not as fired up as the begining of the game this seems to be a millon dollar ?

Should be a good game.....I'll be there.

EagleForLife12

I dont think we've beaten the Billies since our undefeated season in '03..my prediction that ends friday night, with them coming in 0-3 in conference play maybe they feel their season is over already, even though its not

LJ06

Good thing for Monticello is that they've already gotten Star City, Dollarway and Hamburg out if the way.

BIGGOAT60

Monticello will win this game.

yes you are right.... and we have Hamburg, Dollarway and Star City in front of us....that why this game is so important for both teams, since the winners is assure at least 5th seeded.....

RAZORBACK FOOTBALL

Should be a great game..........Home field for Crossett if they can stop the pass the Eagles will win............If not, Monticello wins in a close game...

with the talent we had in "09 and '11 with Nason we could have made a playoff run, the '12 graduating class had some talent (along with the fastest man in the state) but those kids had 4 coaches in high school, I hated it for them

'12 class had 3 head coaches in 3 yrs. Johnson, Bradshaw and Kelley. '14 class has those 3 plus Nason in 3 years. The biggest difference this year has been bringing in Rob Perry as defensive coordinator.

When they moved up in the spring Ledford was still their coach, then a new coach in the summer, just as this class

Romeo

Its a must win game for Monticello if they want any chance of a playoff berth. I think a win for Crossett pretty much assures them the fifth seed.

I totally agree. He had 1 great season and that was it. Crossett had a chance at Bradshaw and the offensive coordinator at West Monroe that year. They hired Crossett native Don Pierce who turned the job down a week after he took it. Ingram was last second choice.

Take away the 12-1 season and Ingram had a losing record at Crossett. With it he was .500. Not exactly the cream of the crop.

Your right, but I can tell you for 100% fact the kids didnt know, as bad as it sounds they were the only ones who didn't know, this town had a bad habit of trying to hide the truth from the ones who matter most, the kids, hopefully thats all gone now

Been a problem for a long time that a lot of people have noticed.

Same goes for the smurfs in blue at Monticello. They would rather have the town "name" be at quarterback rather than the best choice. Same goes with coaching.

quit beating around the bush. tell us what the problems have been.

AirWarren

It's all admin issues. I'm sure I'm missing the big picture. But my Ashley county constituents have filled me in on some things before. Enough to know that it's an issue.

There is absolutely no reason why crossett shouldn't be a perennial playoff team and winning program year in and year out with its talent pool. Even with hamburg being in the same county.
