2001 defeated Booneville, 45-39
FEARLESS FACTS: Hembree is the winningest coach in Warren history. ... Hembree is an Osceola graduate and played for Clinton Gore. ... Warren is 3-2 in state championship games, all under the guidance of Hembree. ... Hembree's dad, Jim, also won a state championship as head coach at Parkin in 1977. ... Warren won 10 straight playoff games from 2001 into 2003 before losing to Nashville. ... This marks the 11th season in the last 16 for Warren to win at least 10 games. ... These seniors can tie the class of 2003 as the winningest in school history with one more win, which would be their 37th. ... The Lumberjacks are 13-2 in the playoffs the last four years. ... In last week's 48-28 win at Prairie Grove in the semifinals, quarterback Hayden Lassiter completed 18 of 23 passes for 437 yards and six touchdowns while touted sophomore receiver Treylon Burks had 8 catches for 204 yards and touchdowns of 33, 44, 38 and 40 yards, and receiver Keemontrae McKnight had 6 receptions for 142 yards and touchdown grabs of 56 and 41 yards.

PEA RIDGE BLACKHAWKS (13-1)

Playoff appearances: 17
Playoff record: 12-16
State championships: (0)
State championship games: (1st)
FEARLESS FACTS: Neal spent the last nine years as an assistant at Oklahoma power Tulsa Union. ... Neal, a 1986 graduate of Jenks, was the head coach at Tulsa Edison for four years (2003-2006), Apache Junction AZ (1997-2002), and Tulsa Hale (1994-1996). ... Neal took over for Tony Travis, who left to take the head coach position at Rogers Heritage. ... Pea Ridge set a single-season record for wins this year with 13 and won at least 10 games for the sixth time (2015, 2014, 2012, 1992, 1987) since beginning football in 1963. ... These seniors have won 34 games, making them the winningest class in Pea Ridge history. ... Their only loss this season was to 4A-1 champion Prairie Grove, which Warren defeated last week in the semifinals. ... Pea Ridge has a rare combination of a nearly 2,000-yard passer, two 1,000-yard rushers, and a 1,000-yard receiver. ... Jakota Sainsbury has thrown for 1,940 yards and 19 touchdowns. ... Zaine Holley has rushed 267 times for 1,483 yards and 19 scores while Drew Winn has run 107 times for 1,307 yards and 21 touchdowns. ... I actually planned to be there.  But I'm old and I can't stand the cold.  If I can get enough layers to stay warm, I'll be there rooting for Warren.

If I make it, maybe I'll get a chance to meet the Warren posters.

Joshua I was thinking about coming down to watch this one. I would take you up on that offer if it is still open.  At a Gravette game Glion had me put on the Gravette mascot...

The Jacks have by far the more impressive resume of the 2 teams.

It wasn't as cold as it will be Friday, but it was in the 40's and wet.  In other words, it was pretty miserable.

Those dry uniforms were the key to victory!
