25 Years

Friday marks the 25th anniversary of the day I moved to Arkansas. I have now lived over half of my life in this state. One of the first things I heard when I moved here was -

What's the difference between a yankee and a dang yankee?

A yankee lives up north and comes down south for a visit. A dang yankee comes south and stays.

I guess you know what that makes me (and dang proud of it, too).

Des Moines, Iowa (as in the Hawkeye logo I have for an avatar

). The company I was working for was bought out by a NW Arkansas company and they packed it up and moved to Rogers. I came along for the ride cause there wasn't much there in the way of jobs at the time.

After 25 years, I afraid that qualifies you as a G.D. Yankee. However, I'm glad we were able to rescue you. Hopefully you have had a full and productive life since your Imaculate Transformation.
