There's not one this year unlike last year. Since it was a blended conference last year, they had a traditional 8 team tournament.
This year you see the byes and double byes.

The 3rd place team will be determined by conference record. Hence why I mentioned Westside would avoid LR Mills even if losing their first game.

Brookland on the other hand, has to make the finals to advoid playing Mills in the opening game of regionals.

If you lose your first game at regional you don't go to state.  The way the district tournament is set up allows Westside to make it to the regional tournament but no guarantee of making it to state. Should Westside happen to lose their first game in their district tournament they would face the 2 seed (McClellan or Forest City) from 4A-5.

I never mentioned Westside having a bye to state.

Everyone has to win a game in regionals. One team from from Westside's district will have to beat Mills to do that. And, like I've said, it won't be Westside no matter how district plays out.
