Looks like Region 2 or 3 will be the most competitive in my opinion.

I haven't see a lot of other teams outside of NEA play this year besides Baptist.  Top to bottom Region 3 will be tough.  You sure do not want to draw HA or Tuckerman first round of regionals.  Looking forward to watching some very competitive basketball in a couple of weeks!  Another good thing is state tourney is only 20 mins. away.

Ralphina

Region 4 is loaded!
Central (Helena-West Helena)
Drew Central
Ashdown
Prescott
Centerpoint
McGehee
Should be alot of great games!!

I'd replace McGehee with Dumas, but District 8 should be sending 4 quality teams to regionals. Everyone will need to bring their A-game to Region 4. The 2 vs. 3 matchups are gonna be entertaining that Thursday night of regionals.

Centerpoint isn't much, but when you have a region with the defending state champ and runner up it's got to be pretty solid. Not to mention that the defending state champ may not even make regionals.

Anyone know the tie breaker for seeding if there are 2 or more teams tied at the end if conference play?

Has Episcopal got anything this year?

teachers pet

Probably should have left Episcopal out, going on past performance.

They are tied for 2nd place in Conference 3A-5 at 7-4 right now.  They are small but quick, and have 2 really good scorers.  They played a very tough non-conf schedule, so their record does not look good on paper.

Never count out Episcopal.

RedWolf275

Episcopal had two really good 9th graders two years ago when Riverside played them in state semis. Are they not there anymore? They'd be better than this record I'd think.

At 10-14, I'm counting them out.  They are not in the league with the top teams.

Both of them & another got recruited to Bryant!   :-[  All 3 start for Bryant, I believe.

    urban legend2

Yes, those kids are all at Bryant now and are the biggest reason why they're one of the top 3-4 teams in the state.

    RedWolf275

That's interesting! Thanks for the info.

I guess Region 4 ended up being the toughest region after all.
