The battle of the dashes, MVE boys need the win to keep the #2 spot in conference. GP has improved their record lately, but can't really improve their conference standing win or lose. Should mention that neither team is find of each other.

On the girls side of things it isn't as exciting, MVE should win easily.

Who you got?

I'm taking MVE boys by 10, girls by 30 or more.

I don't know anything about GP's Jr. girls, but just when it looks like MVE's Jr. girls are getting it together they lose one that makes you scratch your head.

With Concord girls dropping their game to Sacred Heart last night,  MVE girls have a chance to move into the 2nd place in conference. They have to beat Guy tonight and win at least one of the next two. That gives them an identical conference record. If they beat Guy and lose to either Quitman or Brinkley then they would have the same amount of losses as Concord but more wins. (Assuming the way these ties are broken is with overall record). If the lose to guy, or if they lose to both Brinkley and Quitman then this is moot, and they are back in third. These scenarios assume that Concord wins out.  If what I have seen is correct, the difference between 2nd and 3rd in conference rankings is the difference between an automatic regional bid and having to play in.

I think that some conferences do it different from others......in some conferences/districts the conference winner or maybe winner and runner-up may get a bye to the district semifinals or finals........thus those teams would get an auto bid into the regionals.......in other conferences/districts the winner may only get a bye in the first round of district tournament and have to win at least one game in district tourney to get into the regionals.  Probably depends on how many teams are in the district/conference.

Sack says it has zero percentile to do with overall record!! Throw non conference games in the grease trap at Sonic

This is the Tie-breaking procedure from the AAA
If two teams are tied from regular season conference play, tiebreaker procedures will be:
1. Head to head in regular season conference play.
2. If the two teams have split, margin of victory between the two teams, with a maximum of 10 points
per game.
3. If the two teams are still tied, all winning conference game points, with a maximum of 10 points per
game.
4. Forfeited games. Offended teams shall receive 10 points when tabulating the sum of the winning
margins for breaking conference ties.
5. If the two teams are still tied, a coin flip by the Arkansas Activities Association's Executive Director
or his designee will decide seeding.

How would you decide then?  It's possible on the boys side to have a two way tie for 2nd, and on the girls side to have a three way tie for second. The old 'Remember the Titans' coin flip?  Better make sure it's shiny and new so we can tell which side is up!

Makes sense, never mind then, unless MVE wins and Concord loses MVE girls locked into third.
