I don't push people out of the way or run into them because I feel that would just cause more problems than it would solve.

There is a standard practice I used in the past where I yelled "Track!" to ask people to move out of lane 1, but most of the time, that just caused people to look behind them in shock and then try to move at the last second when I didn't know what they were doing.

So I just go around them now and look at them out of the corner of my eye and hope they move to an outside lane the next time (this works every once in awhile).

Some people will hear me coming up behind them and then when I've already decided I'm going around them, they'll step in lane 2, making me go back in lane 1. I've actually put my hand on someone's shoulder to keep them in lane 1.

Of course, there's the innocent kids who come with their parents to the track and they'll

A) Pace with you for a 100 meters or so

B) Try to race you down the homestretch

C) Freak out when you are running towards them and almost cause a collision

I'm not sure it's respectable, but I can do the hammer throw.

One of my favorite throws is this one my friend can do. It's like a hybrid of a forehand and backhand, but he puts it over the top of his head and his hand is on top of the frisbee (thumb below it) and he just flicks his wrist. It's quick and one of the few throws that can get over a defender right in front of you.

FYI, watching this game from my hotel in NYC!  Been here a few days and witnessed a one hitter today.  ATL swept the METS. I did Central Park afterwards.  Pretty solid day.
