Currently watching "INSIDE THE SEC".  The highlights, dramatic music, crazy fans recapping a great SEC Football Season.  Y'all got to get into this!

We've got Bama representing the SEC.  The best college QB playing against the QB who got the Heisman.  SEC vs Big 12.

Clemson with an opportunity to shut Notre Dame's Pie Hole.

Georgia with the chance to humiliate Texas.  SEC vs Big 12

Of course the season had Bama going undefeated, LSU's Coach Orgeron proving Critics wrong, first year Coach Jim Bob pushing A&M to 2nd in SEC West, and Kentucky's resurrection.

SEC INSIDER is even making Arkansas Football look exciting.  Boyd is a Play Maker!  Take a breather, look at the big picture, and enjoy this last month of College Football at it's best...

Interesting read on JimBob (A&M) - he's literally helped 4 star athletes, recruited by the last coaching staff, put in transfer request.  A&M only had 13 seniors on scholarship this year.  Apparently he needs about 12 more to leave, to make room for current recruits and 3 more on National Signing Day.  Most attrition is with DB's and WR's.  The 2019 class includes two 4 star CB's (1 top 5 JC transfer), two 4 star S's, & two 4 WR's at this point.  He's straight forward about upgrading athletic talent.

Valleysports

LSU now has eight commitments for the 2020 class.  All eight of LSU's commitments are ranked as four-star prospects by the 247Sports Composite.  The Tigers are holding firm on the No. 2 class in the country, behind only Alabama, with the Tide holding 11 verbal commitments for the 2020 class.

Tough way to start off Bowl season for the conference
Baylor 45
Vandy 38
Final

bdubyab60

Mason was in the radio before the game talking about seniors and what not. How they and him had built Vandy basically up from nothing. I though Franklin was the one that turned that program around and had them tracking upwards.

But Vandy will Vandy sooner or later. They always seem to let teams off the hook

Valleysports

Vandy is a bunch of Jack wagons - Dang!  And to a Big 12 Team. I can't stand a team desperately throwing for a short 1st down. That ones not so bad though.  Georgia whipping Texas (has to be a beat down), Bama beating Oklahoma, Bama winning National Championship, A&M over NC, LSU over UCF, in that order, are the must haves.   Need  SEC to look like Holy Grail to Texas Kids.

bulldoghistorian

Auburn 63
Purdue 14
Final
Was 56-7 at half, most 1st half points by a team in a bowl game.
63, most points ever scored by an SEC team in a bowl game.

Valleysports

See that's what I'm talking about -  who's the idiot that put the 2nd best team in the Big 10 West against the 4th best team in the SEC West?  Seriously?  56-7 by half, good practice for Auburn Jr Varsity!

Edit:  I'd liked Bama to put a goose egg on Oklahoma.  Been hearing all about how great the Big 12 Offenses are.  Make a statement Bama AND Georgia.  If I was Saben I might play both QBs, let Jaylen control clock and OK offense with a ground game.

Take that #1 (over rated) offense back to the Big 12 and tell TEXAS they'll get theirs Tuesday!

If Bama and Georgia played again, I'd put my money on Georgia.  I realize they are missing key players but Bama's defense looked like they were just playing another game to me.  Like that game went about twice as long as they really wanted to play football.  Saban might give a little focus speech to the whole team.  LOL

For the next 3 days I'm a huge Georgia Fan!

bdubyab60

Rare to see bama as unfocused as they were.

SEC seems to be taking care of the bigger matchups in dominant fashion

RATTLER43

Looked like they lost some focus after 28-0 lead.  It can happen.

How can Ohio State be ranked #6?  Do y'all realize PURDUE (who just got butt stomped by a 5 loss AUBURN 0-100, BEAT OHIO STATE 49-20, how close an over ranked Ohio State came to getting in the Playoffs, and came to playing Clemson who butt stomped Notre Dame 30-3.  Remember 2016, when Clemson pounded #4 Ohio State 31-0 first game of Playoffs?

And then there is Michigan ranked #7 (who got blown out by Ohio State (39-62), who got blown out by Purdue (20-49).
So Purdue get's blown out by Auburn (0-100), Michigan gets blown out by Florida (15-41), and Ohio State? ______saving for edit.  SUMMARY:  #3, #6, and #7 were extremely over ranked!

Something needs to be done about these over ranked Big 10 & Independents (Notre Dame 12-0 ranked #3) teams invalidating the Playoffs. How many times are #3 and 4's going to get pounded 0-30 in the playoffs, while a team like Georgia is playing Texas?  Our Playoff Committee is embarrassed again.  Slam dunk em Georgia!

My Christmas List:
Clemson shuts Notre Dame's Pie Hole.
Bama beats Oklahoma - then the best QB in college football outperforms the Heisman QB (SEC vs Big12).
Bama brings the National Championship back to the SEC
A&M dominates North Carolina
LSU beats UCF
Georgia HUMILATES Texas. (SEC vs Big 12)

Just need Georgia to stomp a mud hole in Texas to put the icing on this cake.   ;D
Georgia 52 - Texas 13, has a catchy tune  :D

They made a movie of Rudy, for getting on the field, in his last game at Notre Dame, imagine what "The 12th Man" will be like. Cullen Gillaspia scored the first 12th Man Touchdown ever, with :22 secs left in the 2018 season and his senior season.

I figured Georgia would have won that one easy
I thought they would too. They got outplayed. I also thought that Texas set the tone with the opening drive of the game.

Valleysports

I am disappointed that Texas is back.  How can we claim the SEC is better than the Big 12? This hurts us recruiting.  Why leave Texas to play in the SEC when Oklahoma and Texas are just as good. Georgia blew it - I hope their recruits flip.

Yep I think Texas is back.Disappointed in Georgia and the other losses the Sec had LSU should have lost as well.

RZback

Georgia didn't want to be there and it showed.  I hear they gave the team 3 days off prior to the game to "get their attitude right".
Disappointed at not being in the playoff and just quit.

Trojanbird

When that fat cow got after the little dog in pre game, I had that bad feeling!  It happened.

bdubyab60

UGA wasn't in this game since they lost the SECtitle game. Texas isn't back, they still haven't won the B12. And despite being in the final 4 no team from that conference has seriously challenged for the title.

Texas does have all resources to do it though. They aren't there yet though

Valleysports

Guess it depends on ones definition of "back".  Dominating the #5 team in the nation, a team that just nearly beat the #1 team in the SEC Champion, and 9 wins has to be recognized.

nice foresight Nostradamus. Is that a 3 loss team that you were pimping for the playoffs.

RZback

Thing about teams that play Bama, they all get "up" for that game.  Bama doesn't get up for every team they play, they just win.

Actually LRRandy I'm about Texas (Big 12) losing, because Texas has historically had the pick of the 4-5 star recruits from the state.  Yes Bama pulled the Georgia game out by the skin of their teeth.  Georgia getting dominated by Texas reflects on everyone who plays in the SEC.

Edit:  Well there it is in the "Way too early rankings", Texas #6, with Oklahoma #8.

Valleysports

Some Big Boys out there!   :D  Oklahoma highlighted Bama's weakness at corner back.  Look for Clemson to wear the back shoulder pass out.

Sure hate to see the end of football for 8 months...

Bama May regret ever throwing the ball in this game
