Go post your mindless drivel in another thread so this one doesn't get deleted.

Any Booneville boys want to post their thoughts on this game to get this thread back on track?

elmerfudd

It's gonna be a football game. That's for sure!

Lol. I guess we don't have any African American players or fans here in P.G.

I'm blind, deaf, an idiot, and a racist all in one hour for stating facts. Nahhh hahaha!  ;D

I apologize for starting things. I let my emotions get the best of me. I know what I witnessed and heard at the game but, this isn't the place to let those out I realize.

Good luck to both teams.

Ha!!! Sorry about that!  I met you both at PG and I remember one of you were "bulky" like me...

OLDSCHOOL always ate up all the groceries growing up which stunted my growth (thanks OS82) and gave him his "bulky" physique.  In case you were wondering..

Stuttgart only brought signs, a few duck calls, even a drone but for some reason they forgot to "bring the wood"

Dude, never apologize for what you say you saw. We all know certain people stand beside the fences especially in front of consession stands, just don't lump a whole town and fan base together. Every town has a mix of good and bad fans. It's how the players carry themselves on the field that matters.

That's a good price for a stream actually.  Well worth that cost.

Is that video or just audio?
Yeah they'll broadcast it with video. They apparently had some connection issues when we were down there in week 1. Hopefully that gets fixed this week for those watching from home.

Hootens write up:

No. 4 PEA RIDGE (2) at No. 6 Booneville: This is a rematch from Week 1, when Pea Ridge rallied from a 19-0 first quarter deficit for a 29-19 decision. Pea Ridge has won at least 10 games each of the past four seasons. The Blackhawks shared the 1-4A title this fall and advance to the quarterfinals for the third straight time (2-0 record all-time in quarterfinals). Hamburg tried to pinch Pea Ridge's rushing attack last week, holding senior Drew Winn to 16 carries for 110 yards and two TDs, which allowed senior QB Jakota Sainsbury to pass for 155 yards and three TDs. Winn has 217 carries this year for 2,004 yards and 29 TDs, while Sainsbury completes 64 percent of his passes (143 of 221) for 2,140 yards and 25 TDs. "They are tough to defend with a good running back and three receivers," Booneville coach Scott Hyatt says. Booneville returns to the quarterfinals for the first time since 2014. Junior noseguard Noah Reyes intercepted a screen pass with 1:08 left last week to set up the junior Austin Dobbs' winning field with three seconds left in a 24-21 triumph over Nashville. It was Dobbs' first field goal attempt in 2017. Junior QB Brandon Ulmer ran for 233 yards and a pair of TDs. Ulmer has rushed for 687 yards and five TDs this season and passed for a school record 777 yards and nine TDs. Junior fullback Carson Ray has rushed for 578 yards and 13 TDs, while Dobbs has 21 receptions at receiver for 450 yards and five TDs. Reyes paces the defense with 70 tackles, including 16.5 tackles for loss, and three sacks. Dobbs has 23 tackles and three interceptions. Reyes along with ends Grant Rodatz (27 tackles, two fumble recoveries) and Marcus Nichols (52 tackles, 7.5 TFL) are a formidable force up front

What's yo point Ruggy?

I was just pointing out how tough it will be to stop the feared Booneville passing game!  It's going to be a passing barrage this Friday, and Pea Ridge better be prepared for that passing game!

I'm not understanding disgruntlement against PR. They seemed to be upstanding last year at War Memorial. I'm not getting why they are supposed to never win.

That being said, not that I'm wishing for a Blackhawks lose, had a feeling Booneville was going to beat Nashville. Have the same feeling this week.

We can't win because we are starting to compete with bigger teams and some people feel offended by that I guess  8)

Hope we can get it done this week but I doubt it because little ole Pea Ridge doesn't stand a chance!

My honest opinion is Booneville will have to play their A+ game this week to make it a close game, like nastynice said.

That being said, I can't help but play along and pick on new posters 😂  Especially those who feel the need to point out Booneville's lack of a passing game. It's too easy!

Although Pea Ridge IS the better team, I'm still picking my Cats to win this week, and here's why:
-Booneville has NEVER had a good passing game, and still we beat teams that do.
-Booneville has NEVER had the bigger/faster/stronger players, yet we beat the teams that do.
-Booneville has NEVER been the overwhelming favorite in the playoffs, yet we have 3 state titles.
-Booneville has ALWAYS surprised people, time after time.

I said this after week 10, and I'll say it again; I'm already surprised and impressed with this Booneville team's season. For a 3A team competing in the 4A, they have a lot to hang their hat on. I don't expect Booneville to make it to state this year.....but they've surprised me before!

Big Hump has been a good one for us this year. Much needed getting him back after losing 4 OL to graduation last year.

Pottsville was good to us too by sending Tristin Brewer up to PR.

I guess all the nice people were in the stands. Some of the latter were in the end zone during gameplay play pacing back and forth cussing at us and our chain crew. We even had guys walk to our side of the field calling our fans and players F****** Cheaters and Cracker  A** White Folks. Luckily Principal Bond was there to send security over and escort them back to their side before it escalated. We had alumni stick around after the game to make sure they left without destroying anything. Everyone should know what you might encounter when you play them.
I heard some of the cussing going on, not "at" anyone in particular, and I never heard the racist comments either. By the way I stood at the base of the scoreboard for the entire length of the game except for the final minute. I noticed the officiating crew asked Stuttgart fans to move from the base of the goal post when the ball was near the South endzone but didn't notice any PG authorities asking them to relocate.

I was just talking with dad about the different match ups. Brought up this one and how Ulmer has passed for the school record of 777 yards for booneville. I figured in all those years you wouldve had one guy at least eclipse 1000 yard mark especially the state champion QBs.

Typically, Booneville's best teams have a dominant O-line. 2013 was the best line I've seen in a while, maybe ever. So passing isn't usually needed during those years. This year is different though. Our line isn't bad at all, but not necessarily dominant. I think we're beginning to see Coach Crowley (Charleston grad) have more freedom with the play calling, which is much more balanced, the way Charleston use to be. And it's not like we're even passing 20-25% of the time now, I just think our few passing plays are more effectively designed now. I like it. It forces defense to play more honest.

nastynice

Why change something that ain't broke? Elmer said it best, we've never needed to pass much. When you have the horses to run our offense, just line up and run over em. This year our horses are more like mules or ponies, so we're mixing it up a lot more. It's nice to see but it's not near as degrading to a defense as lining up and running down their throat. ........2013 line was amazing!.........This line has 1 senior rest are juniors.

Reid's BBQ is the best, but I believe they're closed for the holidays. So that leaves Pizza Italia, El Penjamo's, Simple Simon's, Taco Bell, Sonic, McD's, Subway, the Chinese buffet.....or Highway 10 Cafe in Magazine (5 minute drive east of Booneville).

Safe travels to all and GO CATS!!
