What teams are most likely to pull off the upset this week?

Rember, for the purposes of this thread. An upset is when a lower-seeded team defeats a higher-seeded team, such as Newport over Glen Rose. For example, it would not be an upset for Osceola to defeat Prescott or visa-versa, since they are both 2-seeds. The same is true of Atkins vs. Elkins.

WilderKat

The ones that really want it....and are otherwise qualified.

Barton and Harding would be both my picks. Also Haskell.

I'm going to go with Haskell over Clinton.

Smackover

That won't be an upset.  Mayflower is overrated. Remember?  8)

The six games where an upset is theoretically possible, ranked from most likely to least likely for an upset to occur:

1. Newport at McGehee
2. Harding Academy at Junction City
3. HHG at Clinton
4. Barton at Charleston
5. Smackover at Mayflower
6. Melbourne at Rivercrest

NOTE: The odds of an upset fall off sharply after No. 1

I picked No. 6 correctly. The one game that was not competitive.

As it turned out there were no upsets. Although all five of the other underdogs put up quite a fight. Newport led for almost 3 quarters.

Harding led JC until their 2-point conversion with 1:13 to go and got inside the JC 35 yard line before fumbling the ball away at the end.

The four other teams all lost by ten points or less and if I remember correctly were within one score late.

What a playoff week!

Definitely some of the most competitive games in the playoffs ever. Congrats to all....
