2018 Class 3A State Football Championship Rankings (11/10/2018)

(Only the teams remaining in the playoffs are ranked)

1)   Booneville Bearcats (98,333/11 = 8939.36 pts)
2)   Clinton Yellowjackets (91,338/10 = 9133.80 pts)
3)   Smackover Buckaroos (82,711/9 = 9190.11 pts)
4)   Osceola Seminoles (84,105/9 = 9345.00 pts)
5)   Glen Rose Beavers (91,955/9 = 10,217.22 pts)
6)   Rison Wildcats (103,409/10 = 10,340.90 pts)
7)   Prescott Curley Wolves (106,119/10 = 10,611.90 pts)
8)   Newport Greyhounds (95,811/9 = 10,645.66 pts)
9)   Mayflower Eagles (112,064/10 = 11,206.40 pts)
10)   McGehee Owls (90,208/8 = 11,276.00 pts)
11)   Walnut Ridge Bobcats (101,760/9 = 11,306.66 pts)
12)   Lamar Warriors (102,950/9 = 11,438.88 pts)

Points are determined by looking at each team's schedule. Add the rankings together of each team on the schedule determined by Calpreps. Take that number & divide by the number of wins the team has. Then you have the team's points total. The lower the total the better.

You're right, it's probably not.

Back in my younger days, when I cared for pro football, I used to have power rankings that I used for each team each season. It took into account much more than I could possibly know & look up on these high schools teams. Took a lot of time each week to do the rankings & make subsequent predictions.

Finally gave up the pro game & all my power rankings. These HS ones were just for a little fun & grins.
