A few notes and observations:

I was surprised to see Bryant drop.  The Hornets continued to roll Friday night even with the backup qb.  I will say very few points separate NLR, Greenwood, Bryant, and West.  Actually PA's lead is small, so all 5 are bunched very closely.

In the 7A top 10... NLR Bryant and West are separated by two points. That's how close the voting is.

In the 6A... El Dorado, PB, and WM are separated by three total points.  Very close too.

5A... Greenbrier, Morrilton, Beebe, and Parkview are just on the outside.  Batesville's win over Wynne really changed things up..  Voters were very split on what to do with those two teams.

4A.. JoeT, Pea Ridge, and Warren are very close.  Five points separate those three teams.  Nashville just missed making the top 10 after beating Ashdown.

3A.. JC was almost unanimous.  The next five teams were very close and the voters are very different on the order of these five.

2A... Mount Ida, Rison, Danville come in 1-2-3 on all the ballots.  After that it's in the air.  The 2A ballots are very different after that...

I bet the 5A West votes are a mixed bag also.

I think Bryant is overrated. I wouldn't be surprised if they lose 2 of 3 and an early exit in playoffs. We shall see. GW,PA, andNLR should be co number 1's. They all have a good chance of winning out and have great football teams.

Here's the problem with 7A--it's pretty wide open this year, maybe the most wide open it's been in years.  You've got as many as 8 teams with pretty clear separation.  What you don't have is much separation between those 8 teams.

Although I don't vote in this poll, I think you can justify 3 teams for the top spot.  This could even be a year when something of a dark horse could end up with the title as a result of good teams getting flipped out of the playoffs in close games.

I agree with you. There are about 3 maybe 4 who could win the 2A playoffs, A handful who could win 3A, about 7 or 8 could win 4A and & 7A. 5A and 6A are the only ones who legitimately have 1 team who is just gonna run away with it.

I agree the overall top spot should be between 3 teams right now, but one of them is not PA.  NLR, West and GW can all make a strong case after week 8.

I agree and disagree. It's a two horse race right now between west and NLR. GW just isn't playing well right now offensively.
