Rison is very good.  They'll win some 3A games.  I figure McGehee vs Rison will be a big game.

Rison will be good.  They were just off the back of this poll.

Osceola will be the runner up in their conference, in my opinion.  Newport's QB and RB are back, so I think they're probably the tops in the conference, but I expect Osceola to be around after the first round of the playoffs.

How is he doing? I know he had Mencius, ACL and cartilage repair back in May

Isn't Newport's RB out for the year?

People don't want that kool aid.... We here that every year about them in every sport. This is not the 1990's anymore.

Wasn't ACL but had surgery.  I've heard good things.  Can't say more than that.

Gotcha, if he is back at any point they will be a top team. He was very impressive when we played them last year.

I don't think Mayflower is a top 10 team

Danville scrimmaged at Charleston with Hector, Gentry, and Hackett.  Danville looked like the best team on the field out of them all.

I was there as well, from start until finish (lightening moving into the area) and I would have tabbed Charleston the best overall team, followed by Danville.
And I don't have a dog in this fight, so there's no fan bias on my part.
I will say that I thought that Danville had the best overall defense.
Hector (the blue team, right?) had an offensive line that looked like Tarzan and played like Jane.

Well of course their O-Line will look bad because they are a 2A school going up against a 4A school, a 3A top dog, and another solid 3A school.... I am not sure those odds are in their favor. They will be fine when they start playing 4-2A teams.

I understand that they are a 2A team, but their offensive line (size wise) was the biggest OL by far at the scrimmage. Their OL just stood out to me, because I expected them to be able to plow a road wide enough to drive a semi through, but that turned out to definitely not be the case.
I'm not knocking their efforts at Charleston, or their team in general, it's just another reminder that size in an OL doesn't always translate into easy running between the tackles, I guess.

He didn't play in the Highland scrimmage.  I don't think he will be back anytime soon.  I know he's working hard and giving it his all.  Everyone is pulling for him!

I hope that kid plays this year. It's his senior year and I love seeing that guy run that ball. Praying for a speedy recovery
