Oldman i have a question for you.  I have not kept up with mcgehee in years so all i have to go by is the FF team page, and im assuming the records are correct.  What happened to Mcgehee after the late 90's?  They never really got it going again till 2011 in the 4A and then dropped to 3A in 2012.

don't want to say bad hires just maybe not the right fits at mcgehee. hired scott first who is no doubt a great coach at booneville which is much different than coaching in the delta. grayson was a good coach who moved into administration after i believe 2 years. jordan was a good coach who the administration wouldn't leave alone. barbaree got his shot when there was really good talent in the 7th and 8th grade but not sr high. i hope haddock stays a long time. pretty much went from winning state championships to 10 years of suck.

Clarification please.  Top 1/2 of 3A is as good as all of 4A or what?  I agree the bottom half of both are not very good.

[/quote]there are 10 or so teams in 3a every year that can play with anyone in 4a. there is just a bigger difference in the bad in 3a and 4a. you will find in south arkansas very little difference between 3a and 4a.

Not fishing for a bad comment about Hyatt.  We've had other very good coaches leave here before and not have any luck elsewhere.  The style of coaching and discipline that works at Booneville doesnt work many other places.  Not being negative about your program but what i was trying to determine is if you believe the 3A could beat the 4A.  The way i see it is that Mcgehee was down and had been down for awhile and the 3A drop didnt help anything.  Booneville cycles through down years as does all others but ours usually only last a couple years or so.  The difference between the # of kids in school at the bottom of 4A and the top of 3A are very few.  The difference in the number of kids in the top of each is huge.  The top few in each classification could hold their own with most in the classification above them but not be out right just as good or better, especially with the top 10 in the above classification.  I will hold true to this even as Booneville begins its time in 3A.

I agree that Dardanelle, Lamar, and Charleston will be tough games, but I see Booneville taking this conference. It's not Booneville's fault were in 3A, just the way it happens.

Booneville's stellar defense gave up 20 points to Subiaco and 24 to Gravette last year.
