The Fort Smith Patriots home school team yesterday won the Division 1 national homeschool title, defeating a team from Wichita. Each year at the national tournament there is some high level talent, with several Division 1 prospects playing. Division 1 is the smallest home  school division, roughly comparable to Class 1A in Arkansas.

After the winners are determined in each Division, there is an Overall tournament with the winners of each of the 8 divisions playing a single-elimination tournament. Today the Patriots defeated the defending overall champs from Nashville (Division Eight), who had not lost a game in two seasons. They have a D1 signee with Belmont on the team. Jacob Green went coast-to-coast with six seconds left to score the game winner.
