So explain how Villanova won the national championship last year against UNC's imposing frontcourt?

Who plays with their back to the basket these days? Hardly anyone.

It's mostly a guard oriented game in the 21st century.

It's all about controlling the offensive and defensive boards in the game of basketball brother since the creation of the sport and it's the one constant that will always prevail, "He who controls the boards is he who controls the game." See anybody can dribble and shoot but only a few are chosen to grind in the paint creating second, third shot opportunities. Villanova controlled the boards on both ends last season, that's how Championship are won. Being guard oriented is nothing compared to having a true big man in the post...

You know yo stuff, Pit. We won the title on 2015. Ive said a thousand times the number one reason we did was because of Monte Toney. He was about 6 3 230 and real nasty. He would own that paint. Henuad some help but without him we get the little trophy.

The guards always get the glory but they would be nothing without physical play and rebounding from the paint. We have 8 boys championship and on each team with the exception of one we had strong inside presence. The other had a series of combo guards that could score, rebound and play in the paint.
