This gets started tonight. There will be 3 games tonight, I will give a score updates later on tonight if someone else hasn't already. I'm not exactly sure what the other two games are, but the opener (5:00 PM) is JC-Westside vs. Lamar.

AT

JC-Westside - 59
Lamar - 26

Elkins - 64
JA Fair - 31

Conway Christian - 56
Lavaca - 48

Hector - 42
Charleston - 35

Mountainburg - 39
LR Mills - 22

Clinton - 59
Magazine - 45

Quick notes: Hector outscored Charleston 14 to 4 in the 4th. The Clinton game wasn't really even as close as the score indicates. I think Clinton will be a tough team to beat but they play in a good girls' conference. #12 from Hector really carried them tonight. Good ballplayer.

I've seen all 12 teams play once and right now I would say:

1. JC Westside
2. Clinton
3. Elkins
4. Conway Christian
5. Hector
6. Charleston
7. Mountainburg
8. Lavaca
9. Lamar
10. Magazine
11. LR Mills
12. JA Fair

Hard to differentiate between the top 3 teams, but I do believe those are the top 3.

4-10 are all a bit fuzzy for me, but I will be able to rank them better after seeing them all twice.

For some reason I didn't record the scores of the games after this but I remember who beat who:

Lamar beat LR Mills handily. (The mercy rule went into effect)

JC-Westside beat JA Fair handily. (The mercy rule went into effect)

Elkins beat Conway Christian handily. (I want to say by about 20)

In the last game of the classic, Clinton beat Hector in the best game of the whole shindig by 2. Hector jumped out on top...the score was 20-10 about midway through the 2nd. Then Clinton went on a 22-5 run to make it 32-25. The 4th quarter was a doozy with teams making big shot after big shot. Eventually it came down to free throws and neither team was making theirs. With about 4 seconds left, Clinton is up two and Hector inbounds the ball from their own end and Stanek (#12) for Hector gets a long three right past half court for the win but it was off the mark.
