Walk On question

If a player was to try and walk on at U of A or Tech would they have to live on campus? I am just curious because I have a friend who is wanting to walk on for basketball but doesn't know if he has to live on campus. I am thinking about trying to walk on for baseball to see what it is like, and I don't know if I am going to live on campus or get an apartment. Does anybody know the rules?

Whether or not a student has to live on campus is always a university issue.  Some institutions require on-campus living for freshmen, some even for sophomores, and most require athletes to live on campus.  You have to check with the athletic department of a particular university to find out their rules.

Also in D1 for example, they can only have so many, check with that university or college.
