I didn't realize we had played them before... looks like a run first type of offense, given the numbers listed.

They will try to pass more than they should.

They will use traditional spread and some variations of a single wing. Somewhat similar to what Mena runs, but not that bad.

Nashville in the playoffs for the 27th consecutive year, and enter with a state record 80 playoff wins.

I knew we were first. Any idea who the next closest is and what their number is.

Numbers show a good close game. Interesting....

Somebody started a second Monticello-Nashville thread for some reason...

snap crackle

Monticello keeps it close bc scraps can't stop the run but will then pull away. Unless monticello throws the ball, then it will be mercy by half.

So the Scrap gives up 160 a game on the ground and the billies give up 235 a game on the ground and you say the Scrap is the one who can't stop the run???

snap crackle

no worries for you guys tho, you will mercy rule them either way

ABC™

We're all going to find out if Nashville can stop the run. Last week Bauxite, now Monticello, next week Booneville, and then potentially Pea Ridge. 4 teams that want to run the ball. Gets tougher every game.

Goose0

I'm sure Nashville will be able to handle the run game of the Billies quite well.  No mercy rule in this game do to ball control from the billies but Nashville wins by at least 21.

SCRAPYARD

Ready to get to the hill! Safe travels to the billies.

Best time of the year. Cold weather, pulling up at the stadium when it's already dark, and seeing the lights in the distance. It's playoff time at the playoff capitol of Arkansas!

~WPS~

I'm disappointed that Monticello doesn't have a giant blow up goat run thru.

Haha talk about home cooking.  I knew to expect it, but I expected the playoff officiating to be better than this.

Your on the Hill. Can't expect to have it go your way. Keep battling guys.

~WPS~

You have absolutely lost your mind if you think anything is going against Monticello! You guys get an extra yard on every spot.

Just like the KO going out of bounds at the 3 and Nashville gets the touchback.

~WPS~

What about the time when Nashville fumbled when forward progress was stopped for 5 seconds and the play was going backwards 5 yards.

~WPS~

Boy that touchback did y'all in. You have no business in the playoffs if that's what cost you the game.

Horse collar on our guy who clearly tackled the guy around the side of shoulder pads.  Now they are getting a extra 15yds on the PI on the kickoff this crew is a joke.

The horse collar was obvious to a person with eyes. The PI was obvious to a person with...well eyes.

As was the horse collar on our QB that was no call.  My point abou the PI was they Declined the penalty to accept the TD but got to kickoff from the 45.  It's not a personal foul penalty.

When you're up by 20 at half you can't argue about officiating.....it's a rule...

~WPS~

I don't think you understand what a horse collar tackle is. The PI shouldn't have been enforced after the score. Don't act like it's costing you the game. Officiating is bad everywhere against everyone.

~WPS~

Well when you are down 20 at half don't act like the refs are costing you the game. It could be that we are better.

I promise I know as much about officiating as anyone.  It's ok I'm not mad. Just thought this would be a Berger game if the refs hadn't cost us 75 yards in penalty's.

I was making a joke...try not to be a jerk...

....Nashville is obviously better...we didn't need a game to know that.

You are better when you are getting ALL THE CALLS.  We got 1 break with the fumble. Y'all have got 6 or 7 breaks.

1998billieblue

I've seen video footage that no one touched Pettway in the PI.  He tripped over his own feet.
