They probably did send scouts like the old days before tape exchange, CD exchange , and HUDL. Playing on Thursday allows it at this time of year. Scouting a potential opponent was the main reason for Thursday night games.  Something about seeing a team in person gives a better perspective on team speed and team attitudes.

Hudle and other videos are great, but watching a team live and up close is something ALL teams should try to do if at all possible. You can learn lot about a team live that you don't see on film.

Of course, considering the Eagles had been a class higher until earlier this decade, I'd imagine there wouldn't be too many opportunities beforehand.

Hamburg fan here going to college in Clarksville.. about 30 minutes from Ozark.  A part of me wouldn't mind seeing Crossett pull the upset... (not likely I know) but I think I just might make the trip.
