I'm looking ahead to regional matchups.  I know County Line boys are legit team.  Are any of the other boys teams quality opponents?  7West district has 1 state title contender (Kirby) and 2 other teams who CAN play pretty good basketball at times (Dierks, Mineral Springs).

On the girls side, Scranton appears to be the top dog, so what about the other teams that will represent that district in regional tournament?  Kirby & Acorn are good teams from 7West and Dierks has played well at times also.  I'm not asking for someone to bash any teams, just honest assessments.

Mulberry's boys are a decent, solid team. Not on County Line's level, but solid. They've competed in close games with larger schools: lost by 10 to 3A Lamar (but the game was closer than that), and beat 4A Waldron (not a great 4A team, but still a 1A over a 4A is nothing to scoff at). They will be a tough out if not taken seriously.

Scranton's boys are also a solid 1A team. Also, not on County Line's level, but a solid 1A team. Beaten 3A Bergman and Cedarville (again, not great 3A teams, but still a 1A over a 3A, not too shabby), and 2A Hector. Can be a tough out as well.

Haven't personally seen them play, so take this for what it's worth  :). They're sub-.500 (I don't take MaxPreps records as gospel, so I'm just rounding off the 10-16 record on there). They've got a decent win over 3A Mansfield (admittedly a "not good" 3A team, but still a decently bigger school), and a couple wins over some mediocre 2A schools (Danville, Hackett, JC Westside). On the bad side, they got beat 63-18 by County Line earlier in the season, and finished in the bottom half of their "conference". Probably a 4-seed at best, and whoever the 1-seed (or 2-seed) that is matched up against them, should have an easy game as long as they don't come out flat and let WYC hang around....but again, I haven't seen them personally, just comparing to teams that I have seen play, that they have played.

CL won't be touched in this tourny. May be Scranton or mulberry can make a game in the finals but they should wipe the floor with allof  these

Agreed.

I know this, acorn could cause some problems for county line in the first game. I'm not saying they win. But they've played this season early. Could give acorn the confidence if there ended up meeting in the first round.

Agreed.
Yes CL is good, well coached. Beat Muberry by 2 in OT @ Mulberry earlier, @ CL I believe it was 8/10 point loss. MPV first have there sights set on Scranton and first matchup was a 1 point loss @ Scranton. Only got to play once due to the split conference.

All this talk about how good County Line really is may have Kirby faithful a little concerned.  An upset in the Regional finals could push Kirby into Bay's side of the bracket, a place you may not want to be if you want to get to Hot Springs as something other than a spectator.

if you believe you're the best team. Does it matter the side? I'll take Kirby over bay at mt. Ida. Shirley scares me at mt. Ida more than Bay to be honest. I'd rather play anyone than bay tho in the finals.
