Can someone explain to me how the district/conference tournament will work, specifically for the 7A Central boys teams? Does #1 and #2 receive first-round byes? Is it single-elimination? I'm assuming that 4 of the 6 from each conference will advance to the State Tournament. Is this incorrect? Thank you.

7A doesn't do "conference tournament".  Just state tournament which is the top 6 teams from each conference.  the brackets can be found on the AAA website.

Razorback Red

As bbishop stated, no district or regional brackets in 7A, so 12 of the 16 teams play in the state tourney.  Not a great model, but it's what we have for now.

With that said, the top 2 teams from the Central get a bye and the top 2 teams from the West get a bye.  Barring a big change, NLR will have a bye and the other will be Northside or Cabot.  On the West side, Harber has a bye and Bentonville can clinch tomorrow.

First round games are C3 vs W6, C4 vs W5, W3 vs C6 and W4 vs C5.

If tourney started today:

Heritage vs Conway with winner playing NLR
Cabot vs West with winner playing Bentonville
Central vs Fayetteville with winner playing Harber
Van Buren vs Bryant with winner playing Northside

It is better than what is going on in the 5A!!

I believe Central can still end up with 3 seed and Cabot the 4 seed.

You are probably right as I don't follow the Central as closely as the West.  I did think I read that somewhere.

Was really happy to see NS beat Cabot tonight for 3 reasons:

1.  I still can't get it through my head that NS and SS are in the Central, so I pull for them as if they are still West teams.
2.  As the W2, I want to see Bentonville get Cabot (assuming they are the 3) instead of NS in round 2.  Cabot will probably still be favored, but our chances of beating them are much greater than NS.
3.  NLR and NS (assuming NS wins Fri over SS) will be on opposite sides of the bracket and can meet in the finals, which IMO would be the most entertaining game.

Central is the 4.  Locked.

CoachBobbyT

How? Looks like they could tied for 3 with Cabot and Central would have tiebreaker.

Grizzlyfan

Excellent game last night at Northside between the Grizzlies and Cabot.  Northside bounced back from a 15 point loss at Cabot early in the season to split the series.  This result, together with the 3 ot loss to North Little Rock last Friday, seems to indicate that the Grizzlies are peaking at the right time.

On another point, can anyone explain the dancing guy by the Cabot bench?
