Something worth noting for the '17 season on schedules and results

While we're currently in the midst of basketball season, one issue that surfaced in basketball with respect to the change from conference play to combined classification district play was how to keep results and publish standings in a meaningful manner.  Essentially, most of the play within a combined classification district is going to be meaningless this year - especially those games involving teams in different classifications.

We're going to face that same problem in soccer.

Unless someone has a better idea, I'm going to use the same setup currently in use for basketball to post scores and maintain standings in soccer.

As we get close to soccer season, I'll post a similar thread in the soccer forum (dropping those teams that do NOT participate in soccer from within each district of course). 

This year, the 7A standings will be pretty much as they were before.  The 5A and 6A will be combined (as they are in basketball). 

If anyone has any ideas on how the soccer standings may need to differ, please offer your thoughts in this thread.  Now is the time for ideas!

It seems the way the standings are kept in the basketball forums will be the best way to keep them here in the soccer forums.

I'll go ahead and post the conference schedule for the 5A/6A North Central District (I'm assuming this thread will be changed to the standings thread at some point).
