Not completely softball related, but is cotter good at any sports?

They are down, but girls bball went to state a couple of years ago and boys have been pretty decent the last few years. So yes. But I hear they are volunteering to move up to 3a to avoid so much travel. Their closest conference game is an hour away.

7AA west final standings: Foreman, Springhill, Murfreesboro, Lafayette, Dierks, Blevins, Gurdon(not sure if Blevins or Gurdon is last seed) and Mineral forfeits all games. Top 3 are tough, all have big wins over good teams.  Foreman over JC, Springhill lost only once or twice, Murfreesboro wins over Magnet Cove and a 1 run time limit loss to Woodlawn in McMasters tournament.

It's a total mess at the top because all the top teams still pretty much have to play. Possibilities are

1. Tuckerman, cedar, Salem, pangburn

Walnut ridge leads Sloan Hendrix by a game for the 5, but they have to play again and Sloan won the first one, so 5 and 6 are still undecided too.

This is based on record, schedule, and tiebreaker points.

From our point of view, pangburn needs tuckerman to beat Salem and cedar ridge, and pangburn beat cotter and then cedar ridge by 5. This would give pang the 2. Beat cedar by less than 5 and pang is 3, lose and pang is 4. Tons of possibilities will be sorted out in the next few days.

The east is ruled by BIC. Just guessing by scores, it appears that rector is pretty good. I would guess them #2. Riverside, marmaduke, and marked tree for 3,4,5.I'm guessing.

Want to say a "HUGE" thanks to the folks at Woodlawn, their fans, volunteers, coaches and players...had a great time, saw some great ball...hope the job I did was adequate. Woodlawn has a great facility, and a very fine team...BHG, Coach Massey, great team, it was good to see you again.

I'm not sure it works like that. I would think if you started playing a tournament, that counts as a tournament. If so, they're over the limit. What is the penalty for that?

Might start a new thread or move the BHG question over to the 3A poll.

Not that it matters. The tournament allowance is in the rules. The definition of a tournament is not. Nor, is the consequences of breaking the rule.

Step 1. An AAA member SCHOOL would have to file a formal complaint.

Step 2. The AAA would decide if and how they would investigate.

Step 3. If asked, BHG throws out a couple of the points made in this thread.  (Rain out, single game....?

Step 4. Oh wait, softball season ended a couple of months ago and everybody is talking about football. We don't have time for this and it doesn't really matter anyway.

AAA handbook states you can play 22 games with 2 tournaments. It would be hard to argue the rain out since they had the schedule on website and all 3 tournaments was on there from start.
