This season has been about what every sane person thought it would be. The kids had to learn a new system, it takes time. Freeze was the OC before taking over as the head coach. He had an additional year to install his system. These things take time to learn. I thought 8-4 would be a good season, but looking at 7-5 ain't so bad. Not sure stAte will get to the point of expecting 10 wins a season for a while when we still have to play money games. 8-4 and 9-3 maybe, but sorry I can't jump off the wagon yet. I feel like we have a better situation than we have had in a long time. I think Roberts made great strides while at stAte taking the team from the cellar dweller to a team that competed, freeze was opportunistic and jumped ship, and malzahn is yet to be determined. Roberts did a good job of upping the talent level on campus and was plagued with injuries. Freeze used Roberts athletes to win conference and jumped. He still hasn't convinced me that he can recruit and do it on a consistent basis. I wish him all the luck in the world, but not going to dwell on him not being at stAte. Malzahn is here, he is working the kids, offensive production is up, our defense still has some growingto do.

Down goes another one.

Good job Red Wolves.  Didn't go to the game but read about it today!!

The season starts next Tuesday, I guess actually the next one. ASU and Gus will find out how good they are im games with ULM, and ULL.

I think the Arkansas fans need to go worry about their team instead of getting on here and making sad little comments about ASU.

But once again.  I have to consider the source.   Sad.  Just sad.

Lighten up Louise, the comments are about ASU's chance to repeat as conference champs, every ASU fan I talk to says the same thing. It's not a sad little comment, and I bet I've been to 5 times as many ASU games as you have.

Hoghead

Watching ASU and UL-L now. They look pretty good while leading 20 to zip. The RED pants are killing me though ! LOUD ASU RED !   Black pants next time ASU when you're on TV.

fastdrop

Can you say a tail kicking.... ASU was rolling last night. Great game.

Peety

Looked very impressive last night. Can't wait for the ULM game. If we win we would be in a 3 way tie for the conference lead. Go stAte!

mack

You guys have a fun team t watch for sure.

ASU ought to try to get a game with UA next year, may be the one chance to get a win on them.  Give a good coach a couple of years at Arkansas and that will not happen again.

Sigh....moron.

Playing really good against North Texas right now. We are on a roll especially offensively. Defense has improved by leaps and bounds. Looks like we could win the sun belt again. Everything is falling into place

Chosen 1

ULM at ASU Thursday night on EspnU. Kolten Browning is out with broken foot.

That makes the U La La vs U La Mo score less surprising.

It does explain the story a bit. But with any rivalry game, all bets are off and anybody can win.

Either way there is a 3-way tie for first between ASU, MTSU, and ULM. ASU plays both at home in the next 4 weeks.

True Believer

Got my tickets for tomorrow night!   Really pulling for the Red Wolves!   Hope they can win!

Peety

Can't wait for tonight. Biggest game at ASU in a good while. If there are any tickets left try and come out...could be in for a show. Go stAte!

Hoghead

ASU is looking good. I think they could actually beat Arkansas this year. ULM did !

True Believer

Half

ASU 17
ULM 10

But we are shooting ourselves in the foot.

Looks like not moving the score board at the end of the half might come back to haunt ASU.

Crowd looks good from what they are showing on TV.  Have they announced an attendance number yet?

True Believer

30000 something.  2nd largest crowd. The atmosphere is fun!!

Lionheart88

The Indians Red Wolves are looking good right now.  Keep up the good work so the state has at least one program going bowling.

I thought capacity was 30,700.  Good crowd but it didn't look full.

The Warhawks backup is holding his own but they are missing Browning.  NLULM isn't the same team without KB.  I was at the UAF and Baylor games and he was a big reason why they beat the Hawgs and hung with the Bears.  (To be honest though, the 'backs could have won if they would have been able to run effectively or complete passes in the fourth quarter.)

It isn't, less people on the west side than the east(camera). Still  it's a big crowd for a Thursday night in J'boro. They must have included the 10,000 tickets given to area companies im the 30,000.

That was a get out of town tail kicking whoopin.

Anybody spot FD on the side lines ....  ;D

Nope, I was in the south endzone until halftime.

True Believer

Did anyone see me on TeeVee???

LOL.....it was a lot of fun.  Saw some good friends!   Lots of families there with young kids.  and the kids were having a ball.  Got my bar b que nachos finally.

Howl Yes.   Proud of the boys tonight.   And yes.   I am now officially on the Gus Bus.

fastdrop

I must admit .... it was as fun a night as I have had in awhile.

Well, you did watch a couple of WM games.

Peety

Not sure if Browning wouldve made much of a difference. The ULM line was getting dominated. The back up made all the throws he could. Starson and Stone were in the backfield all night. Plus ULM was NOT stopping Aplin and the stAte offense. ULM might've scored one or two more times, but ASU had that game in hand.

True Believer

Heard something about the New Orleans Bowl.

Peety

I think the New Orleans bowl is gonna take either ULM or ULL. Don't be surprised if we play in Memphis in the Liberty bowl or go back to Mobile for the Go Daddy bowl

Of course at this point all of those are guesses with the exceptions of BYU and Navy.

True Believer

Well for travel sake, then I hope it's the Liberty Bowl.  But Mobile wouldn't be bad either.

But Nawlins.

Appreciate the confidence, but here's the best I can do.  It goes back to 1992 since that was when it looked like ASU moved to D-I.  The number in the last column is what they call a "Simple Rating System" and the way it is calculated on their site has UAF slightly ahead of ASU at this point of 2012.  Of course none of this takes into consideration mid-season ratings.

Troy is the biggest trap game of the year. If we don't come out and play our A game Troy could put it on us. Very good passing game and can outscore you. Go stAte!
