Same song and dance. Hate to be that poster. But  still say only England will beat England.  Starters might play a bit longer though.

HorseFeathers

Gotta feel bad about hackett....probably a quarter final quality team...cinderella semi final....with any other draw...but get state title favorite in 2nd round for second year in a row...

Ventman

Another beat down for those hungry Lions.

Hornet4ever

Hornets will be mercy ruled first quarter if we play like we did tonight. Offense played very flat and slow. Defense did alright. A win next Friday would be a miracle. Love them Hornets though!

BigLion10

You making the drive next week hornet?

England will take this one! I'm coming to town get me a nice seat and enjoy watching this game...hope it's a good 1

Hornet4ever

If Hackett can come out and play their best ball, it will be a fun game. The only problem with England is if you stop the run, they throw. Stop the pass, they run. Defense is like a bunch of animals too. Film doesn't do it justice either, I watched Mccrory film prior to our game with them last season, then watching them in person made me a believer. I said it last year, "nobody will beat Mccrory this year." I'll say it again this year, nobody is beating England. I love the Hornets, and it kills me I can't be there to root for them. But when you work in law enforcement sometimes you can't be at certain things because of the schedules. Go Hornets! Beat those Lions!

big E

If the same offence shows up for the Lions next week oooooh look out Hackett.

HorseFeathers

England 62 hackett 20....sorry hornet....England's offense is nasty....

No hard feelings lol. Like I said, nobody is beating England this season. I'm optimistic, and have faith in our boys but it will be a absolute battle of their life to pull out a win.

Are you the only hackett poster, hornet?

Prettt much, there is BFP who posts some and then 479sfinest who is fairly new. A guy highschoolball posts about us some. Think he has family on the team. But for the most part it's just me. Lol

bigworm

Gotch . Wish you could make it

The Team needs a escort from you hornet haha

Yeah, I'm sure I can do an escort out of town haha

Hornet4ever

Hackett runs more of a spread offense, they like to throw it around. It's odd because when I was in school and even years after before Coach Hester came in we were a run first team. We still run the ball, but our bread and butter has been spreading the field out and throwing it. If England can cover that, then we will be in trouble. That is the one thing that kept us in the Danville game, they couldn't cover our passing game. They finally shut down a few big plays of ours late, and thats what put the nail in the coffin. I figure England has plenty of skill players in the secondary so it will be interesting to see how Hackett handles it. Our defense has impressed me all season, we have played well. Tough task covering Brazeal and company though. For sure a David and Goliath matchup.

BigLion10

Bigworm told me he was strapping up the old leather helmet and starting at corner

Hornet4ever

I will say this about this game though, and I am sure some will make a few sarcastic comments and what not; that is fine. One team should never look over another. I know the England posters are not doing that, nor do I think Coach Farmer will allow his boys to do so. I stated earlier, this is a David vs. Goliath matchup. Who would have thought Iowa, and Pitt would have beat the teams they did? Both big teams going down this past weekend. I said all of that to say this... Hackett, even though the sky looks grim. Strap your helmets on and play your best. Go down fighting, and make this game like its your last. For the seniors it may be their last. I look forward to watching the game on the stream and I hope its a good one.

I agree 100 percent.  It is now win or go home.  If Hackett was not capable of winning, they would not have made it to the second round.  Hackett has a very disciplined team and the boys play hard for their Coach.  It is obvious he has an attention for detail in the way they dress.  Everyone looks the same.

Huge change in the program from when I was in school... The workouts, the attitude, the uniforms etc. The record shows it too. Hackett had never heard of a 10 win season until last year. Now we have two seasons in a row where we are in the second round with a 10-1 record. Proud of the boys.

Just for fun, let's see what LaLa land thinks of this Friday.

DragonFan99

Good luck to Hackett. Represent our conference! Will for sure be a tough game.

Razorbacks48

Hackett will be playing basketball Monday

playmaker04

Great year Hackett but it ends Friday night.

479sFinest

The way this program has turned around since I was in school at Hackett is astounding. Coach Hester has a different way of viewing football than previous coaches did.
That being said, he loves this team and he trusts this team, just as they love and trust him. I know England is good, England was good when I was in school, but anyone counting out Hackett is not privy to how sports work.
Any team can have that one game where everything clicks, and they're hitting on all cylinders. This game will be a massive teat for the Hornets, but that doesn't mean they can't win. This is a strong team, and I mean that physically as well as mentally. They have a lot of heart.
I'm expecting a fight out of them bigger than everyone seems to expect.

HF, he was a senior with me. We played England my senior year and won 45-14, don't think they've looked back since then. Our series with England is 1-1 for now. Lol

Dragonsvoice

Hackett everyone is beatable for the last two years we shouldn't have beaten the teams in the first round apparently because we are from the 42a we have three teams in it lets make some more noise roll another one hornets!!!

We did have a coach who was from England though, so England was on Hackett's radar long before we played them.

bigworm

Jeff Richardson. Is he still at hackett?

Prouddragondad

Dang hornet4ever you guys are young. I've been hating Hackett since 1989. Lol! That's when we all was class 1a and only the top two teams made it to playoffs. Charleston seem to always be first and Hackett/Burg played for 2nd so this conference hatred has been going on for awhile. Even though it kills me I hope you guys pull off the upset. Good Luck Hackett!

My family has been at Hackett since the mid 1980s, so I was born rooting for them.

Jeff Richardson. Is he still at hackett?

Yes he is.. Jeff is a good friend of mine and was my junior high coach in school. We went undefeated my 9th grade year. A lot of fun! Me and Jeff have also went on hunting trips together to Texas. He's told me about his youth days in England. I'm sure he will know a few people there this Friday!

Lionbro20

He graduated with my mom if I'm not mistaken

bigworm

He graduated with bigworm too. He got that Red face and high intensity from his dad. He was as intense as they get. He was a Heckuva DC in England back in the day. I begged him a few years ago to come out of retirement for a couple of years.
