Will this be a upset or will the guys roll big? Jc by 14

You answered your own question. It will be neither.

02cat

If Hector can come out of here healthy that'll be a win in my books. Just a fun fact...the first time JC and Hector met, which was 2002, most of these SRs for both teams were still running around in diapers.

Bearden_Bear72

I don't think Hector can stop jc.  Junction rolls 28+

Wildcatalumni21

I just don't like this game. Not because scared of playing JC, but because we play for our conference championship next week. I'm like 02cat, just want us to come away injury free and ready for next week. But also in a sense I wanna see the measuring stick going up against a great program! Just hope for injury free game on both sides and hope great sportsmanship!

cuz

Not a good game for Hector. They will have a hard time scoring and staying healthy. Hopefully they will stay healthy but J C is very physical..

The physical part won't be a problem. It's a twisted ankle or something like that

If a kid is running and makes a move and rolls an ankle that has nothing to do with the other team being physical. If he meets a LB in the hole and gets rocked or drags across the middle and gets hit then yes I'll agree it's due to the other team being physical

You might as well argue with a wall  ::)
As long as we don't get drummed like 52-6 or something like that I'll be happy...🤔🙄

Wildcatalumni...I think I seen that you live in Atkins now...just ask your neighbors about why one of their fans gotta go troll little brother hector instead of talk about their team 😉

Looking forward to a good game, but just hope both teams come out healthy for long playoff runs.

Funny coming from the guy who was a big Two Rivers fan when they were decent. Keep jumping to different teams according to their success. That's what real "fans" do, right?

HorseFeathers

You forget the season that I was an Atkins fan? Still got a couple Red Devil shirts in my closet from that year 😉

Ah gotcha lol. We just wanna stay healthy for next week, it's for all the marbles

JC has too many weapons.... Hector loses this one.

rattlerfan24

Good grief......I hope the team is a little more confident.......

Big difference if this was a playoff game. I see us sitting key starters and resting others to get ready for next week against Burg. Just a realist

friscokid

To me, if I was either team I'd rather take the bye week and rest up for the final push. I guess you can argue both sides.

HorseFeathers

J.C was probably happy for another game after Hermitage and Woodlawn dropped 11 man football

JC has a hard time getting 10 games a year and we thank Hector for playing us. Look forward to a good game and safe travels for all....

We appreciate the opportunity and it's cool these kids get to experience it on a college field. We've always enjoyed playing teams from the 8 to help our kids get ready for the playoffs.  We pray safe travels for the Dragon faithful as well! Maybe posters can meet up at half or something

From Hooties:

Hector vs. JUNCTION CITY (16) (at HSU): Hector has played 8-2A teams often in non-conference and playoff games the past five years, losing at Bearden 36-28 in OT last year, defeating Bearden 30-14 and Rison 52-27 in 2016, defeating Strong 49-30, Bearden 48-24 and Parkers Chapel 56-14 but losing to Rison 45-36 in 2015, losing to Bearden 35-20 and Rison 38-30 in 2014, defeating Parkers Chapel 14-13 and losing to Junction City 51-7 in 2013. Junction City took a major step last week to claiming consecutive league titles and its seventh conference crown over the past decade by beating Fordyce in the final seconds, 7-6. Hector committed just one turnover and cut down the number of penalties in a 17-6 win over Lavaca.

Our best chance would be to try and play keep away and limit their possessions. If we can sustain some long, clock eating drives and move the ball on JC I'll be happy!
