Bama's 1st win over Kentucky since 2011
Thank you for starting this thread.... I am afraid our losses to Western Kentucky and Georgia Tech will require us to go 11-7 in conference now to get a bid. Had we won those games 9-9 or definitely 10-8 would have done the job..... 11-7 just does not seem likely the way we have played as of late... This makes me sad to say, but I will predict we go 7-11 and head to the NIT :-[

The first 7 games of SEC play will decide the entire year....Besides a trip to Knoxville the rest of the first 7 games are by far the easiest stretch in conference.... If we are going to get to a winning conference record we probably want to be 5-2 after the first 7. It's get pretty brutal in February.

Almost bought a last minute ticket to the game and I am glad I didn't.... The teams are a combined 0-20 from the 3 point line right now :o .... We're lucky we're playing one of the worst offensive teams in the SEC or we would be down almost 20 points right now. It's just 12-7 thirteen minutes into this game. This isn't on MA.... It's just our guys being boneheaded throwing the ball away half the time and bricking wide open 3's

Ole Miss appears to not only one of the most improved teams in the SEC, but in the whole country. Not saying they are world beaters or anything.... but they may make the tourney or at least look like they can. And they were absolutely horrible last season.

Guess you could say nice run to get back in it. Still a loss though. More on the horizon.
Remember when teams were scared to come in to our place and play us. 3 of 4 losses at home.
We should not have shooting woes like this at our place.
And folks are still saying this is a tourney team and the next few years has threat in the tourney written all over it. WHERE? I haven't seen it. Had to have a guy get hit in the last game to pull that out.
Anyone have a VCR player so I can watch what Razorback basketball is capable of being

You the man. Everyone that is watching what is going on right now with Razorback basketball needs to watch this. Watch what this program is capable of.
Then try and tell me what we are watching and have watched is EVER going to get there.
No consistency in shooting, defense or anything basketball related.
And don't get me started on the Bailey shot at the end of this game. Bailey rarely helps this team and gets the minutes he does.

Falls to 7th seed with a win and a State win
Falls to 8th seed with a loss
I am only dreaming, but I hope we win on Saturday and Florida loses.... I'd like our shot in a rematch against them. I want to see
8 Florida
9 Arkansas ( winner plays LSU)
4 South Carolina
5 Ole Miss or Miss State ( any combo of 2 of these 3 teams in the 4 or 5 spot will work)
I am not sure how realistic this would be but I want to see Tennessee, Kentucky, and Auburn all the other side of the bracket. Those teams scare me the most.
I say that cause LSU has to be the luckiest team on the planet. Outside of our game with us they literally have pulled out every close game they have played and some of those times by what feels like miracles. LSU's record is not indicitive in my mind of what they are. They are a good to really good team, not a great team.
Ole Miss:
Clinches the 5th seed with a win and an Auburn loss and a State loss
Falls to 6th seed with a win and an Auburn win and a State loss and a Florida loss
Falls to 7th seed with a win and an Auburn win and a State win and a Florida loss
Falls to 8th seed with a win and an Auburn win and a State win and a Florida win
Falls to 9th seed with a loss and a Bama win and a State win
Thank you for the info!
I'll be rooting then for an Auburn loss then and hope for them to go to the 6/7 seed area!!
Alabama:
Clinches the 8th seed with a win and a State win and a Florida win and an Ole Miss loss
Falls to 9th seed with a win and a State win and an Ole Miss win
Falls to 10th seed with a loss
Arkansas:
Clinches the 9th seed with a win
Falls to 10th seed with a loss
A&M:
Clinches the 11th seed with a win
Backs into 11th seed with a loss and a Mizzou loss
Falls to 12th seed with a loss and a Mizzou win
Mizzou:
Clinches the 11th seed with a win and an A&M loss
Otherwise, they are the 12th seed
Georgia has clinched the 13th seed
Vandy has clinched the 14th seed
I hope all of this is correct lol!
How about LSU's coach getting wire tapped by the FBI, and its pretty much cut & dry they cheated to land all these guys they got. Miss State, Auburn, and Texas A&M are being looked at too in the FBI probe.
Kind of hard for Arkansas when 4 of your 13 conference opponents are apparently breaking NCAA rules to get a leg up. I think the SEC is about to cycle down some after this year from the great run the conference has had the last 3 years. Plus, I think we're about to see LSU and at least 1 or 2 others be put on sanctions.
The only teams I respect in the SEC right now are Tennessee and Ole Miss....
Tennessee I like for the obvious reasons of their seniors currently stunk for 2 years and they grew as players little by little. Tennessee did it the right way. Admiral should have his number retired there a decade from now.
Ole Miss you have to respect those kids who flat out stunk last year and have not quit. They were picked dead last.
Yeah that's crazy about LSU!

For Arkansas fans, you have to at least give Anderson that...he's (seemingly) a by the book coach that recruits within the rules. Not the type of guy that pays any price to win. That's a plus for him IMO.

And just like that LSU's coach is now suspended for the season..... He'll be gone once the investigation is published this offseason.

Should have no bearing on their outcome against Vandy tomorrow though.

It's Kentucky's 1st SEC tournament loss since a 61-60 loss to Florida in the tourney title game back in 2014!
Some interesting facts leading up to the title game:
Auburn is making it's 1st title appearance since 2000, they haven't won it since 1985.
Tennessee is making it's 2nd straight appearance, but they haven't won it since 1979.
This'll be the 1st time since 1991 that neither a 1 or a 2 seed has played in the finals.
They deny them of a share of an SEC regular season title a week ago, and now they deny them of their 1st SEC tournament title in 40 years.
