Dardanelle was dominated on the line of scrimmage in this one. Congrats to the Badgers.

Can arkadelphia defend the run?  If not pg, will roll.

Rain is either your best friend or your enemy.   Just depends on which side is lucky.

Go Badgers beat Dardanelle.     ;D
Deep Thoughts

I guess so

Yes, they can. Not sure how they're a 5 loss team. This is the first game in 20+ games Dardanelle was beaten on the line of scrimmage. We're all pretty shocked.

Arkadelphia has a lot of team speed.   Play great when clicking but seem to get rattled easy.

Should be a good game.....I first thought Dardanelle with the win but changed my mind to the Badgers.

How's that negative karma button working out for ya?

Man that negative karma...lol

Frosty

Congrats to the Badgers of the 7-4A Conference!

riccoar

Would like to hear a breakdown on this game if anyone was there. Seriously thought Dardy was a lock for WMS

3 Dollar

Congratulation to the Arkadelphia Badgers!

Good Luck and God Bless!

wenmikeyjr

It was a 7 point game, not sure about the domination.

Pretty simply, our oline got dominated. Probably should have went to the air more, but we went 3 and out over and over, several times having only lost yardage each series. Throw in the turnovers, before you know it, it's 4th quarter.

wenmikeyjr

It was a good season, but can someone explain to me why Kirshner was playing qb. Is the sophomore hurt?

Yeah, I should have specified dominated at line of scrimmage I guess. I hated to see it. Other than the 2 big plays we had NOTHING, but that's high school football. Arky did what they needed to do.

As good of a player as Kirshner is, how many big plays has Dardanelle had this year when he was at qb? Not jumping on him, just seems like he is limited when at qb

Okay!
Last week we heard all week how the 8-4A conference was such an elite conference.  And their #2 seed was mercy ruled.

So, let us hear how the 7-4A conference is the best conference in all high school football this week.  And we'll see how your #4 seed fares against the Lizards!
I would only hope that a 1 seed would beat a 4 seed but with that being said 7-4A is by far the toughest conference in 4A football and I know for a fact the Gizzards would not be a 1 seed if they were competing in the 7-4A. Just a little bit more physical down south.
I can see why BrainOfTheSouth wouldn't be an appropriate username...
Looks like "BrainOfTheSouth" knows more about football than half of this thread. Goodluck in basketball season though. Might I remind you that was a 4 seed from the 7-4A...

Was not there, but listened to most of it on the radio.
This was a 3 yards and a splash type of game. Very wet/muddy, very few passes. Dardanelle scored on two big plays, a 52 yard run, and a 57 yard pass. Arkadelphia had success running, and was able to drive the field a few times. Dardanelle drove deep in Arkadelphia territory and was stopped on 4th and 1, inside the Badger 20 with 18 seconds left in game.

total yards - 268 Badgers
                  173 Sand Lizards

Many, alot, but like I said, our oline has completely dominated every other team's defense we've played. Tonight our oline got dominated, maybe its because they had no traction, not sure.

I knew the 7-4a was tough but not this tough.

beach bum

Great win by the Badgers but also congrats to Dardanelle for going 25-2 the last two years. That is huge for their program. No shame to those kids even in defeat.

Much respect to Dardanelle Coach Josh Price and his humble honesty.

"It was me," he said in his office after the game. "I didn't coach them well enough. I had no answer for anything they (Badgers) were doing defensively. My hat is off to them. They just whipped us."

"They dominated us on both sides of the ball."

whippersnapper

Not a lot of men can own up to that. To often a coach just says "well we didnt execute the play called". Much respect for Coach Price.
