If you had said after the week 6 loss to Ft Lake that Arkadelphia would be in the quarterfinals everybody in town would have said you were crazy. 1st off the 7-4a is a good conf but, it's not by far the best. The 8 is right there with it. 2nd off Dardanelle  is the most physical team in 4A football just as they were last year. There is not a team in the 7-4A that comes close to Dardanelles physical play. Arky may beat Dardanelle on the scoreboard but they will not be more physical. This will be one of if not the best defense and it will be the most physical team Arky has seen. It will also be the best OL they've seen.

Ask Shiloh how physical Nashville is this year. Without question Dardanelle is a physical football team but they aren't the only physical team in 4A this year.

Can't say anything bad about Dardanelle, they have been in the top spot all year. It's a long way to fall, as I know the Badgers are play very hot right now.

I have to say the 8 teams left got there for a reason.  They are solid and capable of winning big games.  That being said I expect Dardanelle's physical play to carry them on this week.  For that reason teams seem to be in the game and playing well and all of a sudden you look up at the score board and Dardanelle is ahead and not enough time to catch up. I thought Hamburg looked very good at times, but in the end Dardanelle enforced the mercy rule.  Dardanelle is a very good solid team and deep on the roster with a game changer in the back field.  Home field advantage win by a bunch.

No way that Arkadelphia will control the line of scrimmage. However on defense they do a great job of run blitzing which could help counter the size and numbers Dardanelle uses in the run game. At some point the Badgers will probably wear down but I bet they put up a good fight.

On offense Blake is going to have to have the game of his life throwing the football.

Kershner will be the fastest kid on the field and if he gets into the open nobody will catch him without taking a great angle, Unless you dive and clip his heels like #4 from Hamburg did last week. Not many Arky fans here. Looks like we're in for a quiet week. Miss those Hamburg supporters.

So how many ball players will Arkadelphia dress out for the game.  I noticed at Pottsville last year a bunch.  Hamburg had a lot as well.  Do some of these teams dress all their 9th graders?

Dardanelle has a great game atmosphere.  Better if the AAA would let the band on the field.  Not sure what is up with that.  The close buildings and stands seem to hold in a lot of the noise.  Of course one loss in two years helps as well. Crowd seems to be into the game and the band is really good.  Glad the mascots are not going to battle.  Not sure how a Sandlizard  beats a Badger.

I hope the weather holds out and it is not raining game time.  Should be a good crowd even though several area teams are still in the playoffs.
