I think more comfortable... 49-14...  year of the Tiger...

If Painters get the ball to Northcross early and often they have a good chance to win. He's one of the top players I've seen all year. That being said they'll prob run the power I mess again and lose.

Pg 35

PG will be too much Ashdown to handle PG by 21, PG has a great run game and can pass this year will be hard to stop both.

SCRAPYARD

42-7, gonna be ugly. And that drive home gonna be worse.

hawgfan15

Prairie Grove 42

Ashdown 20

The Panthers have just not been able to put it together offensively this year. I will be rooting for you but I think PG is going to be too much at home.

Tigerdad2

PG rolls on!!! 49-14 final 35-0 at  halftime .
PG will have trouble winning it all, but the first two games have been easy opponents.

Easy. Ashdown would have mercy ruled your first round opponent. If PG mercy rules Ashdown before the half then we need to go ahead and pencil them into the championship game.

Lionclub67

If Ashdown can shut down PG's run game (which I don't think they can) then they have a chance..

livingwithcause

PG Wins but I'm biased as I graduated/work at the school/run the sports web broadcasting with some students.
But in all reality I think PG is to much for Ashdown to slow down.

Who has PG beat that everyone thinks they will beat Ashdown so bad?

Who has PG beat that everyone thinks they will beat Ashdown so bad?

The fact that they beat the top three teams in their conference by an average of 26 points per game. And two of those teams won their first round games comfortably.

Truman and Dover now those are some powerhouse teams!!When you play in a weak conference you should beat everyone by 26!!!

You will see come Friday.... The 1-4A isn't weak anymore if you have been paying attention and if you can't stop Fountain Lake's run game then the same will happen when PG plays Ashdown. It obviously isn't the best or a juggernaut but it is blatantly better than the 2-4A and 3-4A in recent years so to call it "weak" is an absurd statement. Nice try. PG by at least 14 with a long 4 hour ride home.

So being the third worse conference is your argument?Shiloh gets mercy ruled this week!!!Pea Ridge will also lose. And PG running game isn't as good as FL.Also I'm pretty sure PG hasn't seen the speed that Ashdown will be bringing. No team on PG schedule has as much speed as Ashdown has.

Nip/Tusk

Don't let the beachbum fool you, the 1-4a really is weak, but I think most of the other conferences are as well.

Pg wins this one big.

If PG gets into the 30's Ashdown will have issues...

Since 2011 (all games) PG is 43-1 when they score 30 points or more. The Tigers are just 4-11 when they do not...

In the playoffs over the same time period the Tigers are 7-1 when they score 30, 0-3 when they do not.

So there ya go.

Octobersky

I am confused.  Is PG playing Ashdown or Ashdown's conference.  PG wins this one.

Why do we even play the playoffs if every conference is so weak. You are just a pessimist who doesn't like seeing Abshier be successful. I have a general idea why too...

kjjackson

Yeah, the only factor the conference has is that Ashdown has had their feet to the fire more than PG. But Berryville being terrible has nothing to do with how good PG is. And the Panthers are not world beaters. Arkadelphia or Fountain Lake are both playing great, they would give them a much better game. Ashdown, not so much.

Lionclub67

This will all be settled Friday night. Both teams will
Come ready to play and the best team will win. PG by 12

Pg winning big is pessimistic?  Ok beach bum.

The conference is weak overall. I've seen every team play and that's my opinion of this year compared to past years. Has absolutely nothing to with any coach.

Lighten up.

I would agree that all of the 4A is down...  I truly believe PG has a good chance this year.

Arkansas will beat Toledo because Toledo's conference is weak.

A 10 pt home win over a 3rd place team and a 1 point win don't really make an incredible case. Not to mention Shiloh got smoked.

But carry on. 2 teams in the quarterfinals. Still doesnt change the fact that the entire 4a is not as strong as it has been and certainly the 1-4a isn't either. Heck, pg isn't as talented a team as they were last year but they've rolled nearly everyone this year.

Agreed, I still think the 4A is down enough that this is anybody's year...
