Although the back from Robinson is very good, I think Dennis Daniels from Warren is right there in the conversation with him.

AirWarren

I agree.

Daniels.
Hammonds.
Hughes.

SUGARTOWN

Blackman from Gosnell is pretty good too.

Blackman is very good.

Every team has loaded the box against him and Pocahontas is the only one who was able to slow him down.

bigchief72455

He is a tough one to bring down.

Who's getting college looks? I know Hammonds is committed to the U of A. Anyone else?

Nashville's JR RB Darius Hopkins is receiving heavy interest from Arizona State, Arkansas, Mississippi State, and Kansas. If he would have been able to participate in camps this past summer the offers would have already been rolling in. I am expecting a big spring and summer for him.

Blackman has an offer from Southeast Missouri State and maybe Astate I'm not sure on that one. Have also heard he is getting looks from Memphis and Ole Miss, as well as all the D2 schools in the state.

You would think he would be getting more than just those teams with those numbers.

It's more than just numbers that they look at. In 2011 was a man among boys and had over 2k yards. He got very little attention other than D2 schools. To be honest I think they pay attention more to camps and stuff like that than real football games.

Thats odd. You would think how they perform in the environment would factor too.

Unless they are already a really highly rated recruit it seems like Arkansas for example waits and gets kids up for a camp before deciding to offer or not.

Legend

David English from Ozark was the same. Had over 2k yards and ended up at tech

Notice no highlights against Pocahontas. He had 24 carries for 73 yards and no TDs

Notice that Pocahontas has a great defense and we cannot pass the ball when we need to. Poky had all 11 players in the box with the safeties playing man. Blackman was getting hit in the backfield as soon as he got the ball. Not much he can do about that.

It came out wrong. It was not a poke at Blackman. He is very dangerous. I am just tired of listening to the 8-4a teams thinking they have all the talent and the only conference in 4a

AirWarren

Until someone from your weak conference proves it on the field....in the playoffs....yeah we play the best football down south.

No. Our record against Mississippi county has been pretty good.

Beat Gosnell(Marcus Anderson, David Blount) and Rivercrest in the same year I believe. Rivercrest was the state title game.

I can't help but think what he would have done last year with rotating him and kilay last year.  But he was third string running back last year while starting at safety.
