FEARLESS FACTS: The Zebras have won 19 state championships in all, including four under the current playoff format. ... Pine Bluff's first state title was in 1915 and added state titles in 1921, 1922, 1925, 1926, 1927, 1928, 1932, 1935, 1937, 1939, 1943, 1951, 1962, 1963, and 1977. ... The 1925 and 1939 teams were also named National high school champions. ... This year, Pine Bluff lost its first two games of the season, lost two of its first three conference games and was just 2-4 at one time. ... Since then, however, Pine Bluff hasn't lost and has even avenged two earlier losses with wins against West Memphis and Lake Hamilton in the playoffs. ... Head coach Bobby Bolding graduated from Magnolia in 1984. ... Bolding is only the third head coach at Pine Bluff in the past 25 years. ... Quarterback Claude Johnson has passed for 2,794 yards and 32 touchdowns this season, and for 6,675 yards and 76 touchdowns in his career. ... Pine Bluff is one of just two schools in the state with over 700 wins all-time with the Zebras winning 712 wins and trailing only Little Rock Central.

FEARLESS FACTS: El Dorado has won five state championships prior to the modern playoff era, winning titles in 1924, 1932, 1933, 1942 and 1958. ... The 1932 and 1933 teams were undefeated, going 20-0-1 altogether with the 1958 team under Garland Gregory also going undefeated at 10-0-1 with a 14-14 tie against Little Rock Central the only blemish. ... Pine Bluff is one of El Dorado's oldest rivals, having first played in 1912. ... Pine Bluff and El Dorado have played 78 times with the Zebras holding a 42-32-4 edge in the all-time series. ... Pine Bluff and El Dorado were both original members of the old Arkansas High School Conference that formed in 1937 before official districts were formed by the Arkansas Activities Association in 1946. ... El Dorado won the 6A-South conference this season, marking the 10th conference championship all-time and seventh outright. ... Quarterback Taylor Reed has thrown for 2,189 yards and 20 touchdowns this season. ... El Dorado's 24-21 win over Watson Chapel was the 600th win in the history of the school. ... The Wildcats have won 66 games this decade, marking the best decade since the 1950s when they won 79 games.
