Fearless Facts: North Little Rock defeated Springdale in last year's state championship game but the school forfeited the championship trophy along with all but two wins from last year for playing K.J. Hill, who was ruled ineligible under residency rules after transferring to the school from Bryant in March, 2013. ... Rice is in his third season as head coach at North Little Rock after leaving Lonoke. ... Bentonville's Malik Monk has scored 2,049 points in his career, including 1,297 at Bentonville after moving from East Poinsett Couty. ... North Little Rock is making its 19th appearance in the boys championship game, including North Little Rock Ole Main.

Fearless Facts: Conway is the defending state champion, beating Fort Smith Northside last year. ... Nance won three straight state champions at Guy-Perkins, playing for her dad, John Hutchcraft, in 2001, 2002 and 2003 and was also the Most Valuable Player of the championship game those three years. ... Rimmer is also a Guy-Perkins graduate and played under Hutchcraft. ... Nance and Rimmer will be assistant coaches at the McDonald's All-American game in Chicago in June, serving under Hutchcraft, who is the head coach. ... Neither Conway nor Fayetteville won their conferences outright with Conway finishing second to Greenwood in the 7A/6A-Central and Fayetteville sharing the 7A-West crown with Northside.
