With Dierks making their coaching hire it looks like at least for now the 7-2A coaching carousel might have came to a stop.
Coach Carter left Springhill to start a vocational-agricultural program at Prescott which will also allow him to reunite with Coach Poole. With the talent level being down in Bear country and cutting an 1-1/2 hour commute in half this looks like it was a wise decision. His replacement will be Mcbride by way of Hope. From what I can scratch up this will be his first head coaching job. Looks as though he might have his work cut out for him for a couple of years, but sometimes new coaches breathe new life into a program. Hopefully for the blue and gold that is the case.
Foreman replaces Neil Evans, who had to have landed the best coaching job of the year by wrapping up the head job at defending class 3-A State Champions Harding Academy with former Parkers Chapel and Horatio coach Mark King. King was able to bring more wins to these two programs than what they had experienced in several years combined prior to his hiring. He will have that same opportunity at Foreman. It looks like he will have a talented Sophomore class and a proven QB at his disposal, but the Gators have a tradition of loosing in football and winning in softball.
Coach Bennett left Dierks to try to capitalize on Horatio's recent success. He will be followed by Coach Perrin who has won .74% of his games as a head coach and out of the three new coaches to the conference will take over the team with the best win/loss record as of late.
Which school made the best hire and which coach got the best job?

Dayton Kitchens

Horatio got the best deal.    Bennett has a history of reviving football programs immediately and steadily.
