That's it folks

La. Tech  47
ASU        28

Final

Very good season for ASU, these seniors have had 4 different HC that's a ton of adversity itself, but they continued to be competitive great season.

I wouldn't say that.  They just ran into a buzz saw.  Dixon's statistically one of the best RBs to ever play in D1-A.

Arkansas has other running backs just as good, if not better, than Dixon. We didn't need him and he didn't need us. Our RBs were fine and he got a chance to shine at LA Tech. Not sure why Arkansas should have signed him

I've seen KD play whiles he's been at La Tech. He is not a SEC back. He's too small and likes bouncing a little too much. Typically, those are 2 bad attributes for a RB in the SEC.

FWIW, Arkansas and Tech both played TAMU in 2012 (KD's freshman year).  Here're the rushing stats from those games:

Rushing                 No. Gain Loss Net TD Lg Avg
Knile Davis             18    84    19  65    0 28  3.6

Three of those running backs for Arkansas were seniors. Williams was the only returning back with experience. The other running back Arkansas signed that year was only at Arkansas for a season and finished his career at a division II school. Meanwhile, Dixon breaks records at Louisiana Tech. But of course, we didn't need him.

WPWells

We didn't. I know y'all think that he's God's gift to the game of football, but Arkansas wouldn't have done any better with him. Sorry.

Coach DePriest, Sheridan

Stewie,

What is your problem? There is no question that Dixon would have been a significant asset to the Hogs the last 4 years. Would he have scored 87 TD's? No. However, he would have kept his nose clean and likely given us another consistent option in the backfield. Maybe you don't think we needed him, but he sure would have been nice to have.

I just don't understand why we are talking about it. Maybe I missed where somebody said Arkansas missed on Dixon or something along those lines, but most of what I've seen has been about how proud we are of an Arkansas kid achieving a record like that. You were the only one that has downplayed it and put him down (other than somebody quoting football frenzy from November). And being happy for a guy doesnt mean that they think he is God's gift to football. I guess I just don't understand looking to create an argument like this.

For what it's worth, I wish that Fredi Knighten and Kenneth Dixon were starting for the Hogs. However, I am proud of what both of them have accomplished at their respective schools.

WPWells

Yes, you did miss it. Romeo has said it twice on this thread. I have no problem with Dixon. I'm proud that an Arkansas kid has done this well.

This is why there's a wedge being driven between fans like you, and the rest of the state of Arkansas...

Only in response to your shots taken at him.

I'm glad that you are proud of him, but it just doesn't seem that way when your first comment is that it is easy to score a million touchdowns in that conference (even though he is the only one ever to score that many in any conference ever).

True Believer

So proud of the Red Wolves and the exciting season they and the coaches gave us.  All the fans I talked to said despite the loss at the bowl they are looking forward to next year.  And of course New Orleans was a blast.

So here's to a howling good year for 2016!!!
