Olfan, any win is a good win. That Gosnell jr team must be improving. Have y'all played twice?

Gosnell has some talent , #22 Kirkendale, can take it to the hole , #21 can flat out shoot the 3 , she hit 4 tonight,  there big post is very aggressive

Our first meeting we won 51-24, but we as 6-9 from 3 range the first half and was
Up 31-15 going into the 3rd qr

Riverside beat them pretty good back in early November. They are obviously better now.

They shot the ball really well tonight, and played solid defense all night, it was a good game, they just played Pokey a tough game at Gosnell and lost 32-30
Monday night.

1A3E Jr girls District Tournament schedule next week has #1 Bay vs #4 Armorell at 4 PM Wednesday then #2 Maynard vs  #3 Ridgefield Christian at 6 PM Wednesday.

Winners will play in finals at 2PM Saturday. This years tournament is being held at Maynard. Hughes didn't have enough players to finish the season so only four teams in the district tournament this year.

Good luck to all the Jr girls teams in the district tournaments in all classifications!

Thanks Oldref,
That would be great!!

The Lady Bearcats are going to be without Ally Loflin, one of ,if not the best player in Conference. Believe she finished tearing her ACL the last game vs Pocahontas going for a lose ball right off the opening tip
She has been playing on a partial torn ACL the past 4 games helping secure the Conference Championship!! She was going to be moved up after Jr District

She is one tough player, now the other players have to step up during District. Hannah Lovrein has been playing great , along with Whitney Wagganer , and 7th grader Lotti Hoffman

Really hate to hear that Olfan.........seems to be so many injuries this year. I know it happens every year but seems to be more this year for some reason. Ally is a really good player hope she can get it fixed and has a quick recovery. Hard to replace someone as good as she is.

Mallory Hartley who broke her leg early this season is really starting to get her game back almost like it was early this year. She is a really good player and missed almost the whole season for the Lady Jackets. Bailey Bowers and Sara Blackman will move up after the district next week and should give Bay Sr girls a boost with their athleticism and effort. Next year will be interesting to see how Bays 8th graders progress over the summer. Some of them could possibly move up as 9th graders and play sr basketball next season. Bay has a really good group of 7th graders that will help in Jr high next year as 8th graders also. Lots of good Jr girls players in Craighead county right now. Riverside, Brookland and Bay have all had great years.

NEA Razorback olfan

Oldref,
I agree , good luck to your freshman moving up to Varsity. I could see those 8th graders being moved up as freshman next year to varsity.
Lots of talent here in the NEA area!!

1A 3E Jr district at Maynard

Maynard Jr Girls win 33 - 32 over Bay. Bay finished season 31-4.... Fifth time those two had met this year with Bay winning the first 4 games. Not sure of Maynard's final record but they had only 5 losses total with Riverside being the other loss.   Bay and Maynard are both loaded with good 8th grade players..... expect them to be battling for years to come.

Bay Jr Boys win 57-33 over Hughes. McFadden had 35 for Bay.

Oldref, it is hard to beat a pretty good team five times in a row.

Oldref

BoxNOne that is a fact.......congratulations to the lady Rebels on winning the district. They just continued to win and get better.

The game at Maynard was about as ugly as it gets with neither team shooting well and lots of turnovers, fouls and bad calls both ways. Bay lost two starters to fouls midway of the 4th quarter and couldn't hold on. Just one of those nights and Maynard beat us. Has been a fun season watching all the good teams in NEA. Guess we will all get together and try it again next year! Have enjoyed keeping up with all the teams especially Bay, Brookland and Riverside......all had great seasons.

I wonder who will Bay recruit for the year 2015-2016? Since they couldn't get it done this year.

This recruitng thing is really getting old...
Most schools get new students every year, and most lose some
