it was the 2014 team and no they were not undefeated in back to back years.

I have tried to do some digging on Max Preps. I will post what I find on the Purple Bugs.

In 2014 they had an undefeated Regular Season and only lost was in the State game. In 2013 they dropped two regular season games to DA and EPC. As far back as 2001, they have not have back to back conference championships. (This is ALL if Maxpreps is correct.)

I know it didn't happen in the late 80's or 90's. Anything before that was before my time but I'm pretty sure it's never happened back to back undefeated.

I don't think it's ever about 92% sure 64 thru 68 we were champs 3-5 years not sure undefeated all 3 years there have only been 6 or 7 undefeated in conference champs in this being the 70th season of Hornets Football that's why I'm hoping this is our year to hang that 1st state championship banner I've been saving that for the end of football in Hazen started in 1948-49   Go Hornets runner-up 73 82 &20!4

I'm sure it wasn't intended. Last year we tried to not do that and we still couldn't stop. Our defense scored a bunch then I'm sure it was the same this year.

Hazen didn't run the score up at all. The 2 starting backs had less than 5 carries, Hazen threw less than 4 passes, and Marvell punted 0 times. 4 of Hazens scores were on defense.

I will say this.,..... With all that happend last night I have nothing but the up most respect from both teams. I hope that the purple bugs go on to have a succesfull post season run. Not mad about the 74-0 game... That score could eeasily be switched on the hardwood........
