I will ignore them Walter, I'm not worried about them. Dardanelles QB is 6'0 240 4.5 forty

polksalet

Johnny Football couldn't break 4.5 at the combine. Call me skeptical in that time.

Your right Dardanelle QB is no where near that fast! I wouldn't worry about him at all!

polksalet

I've got a book of green stamps that says no qb in Arkansas including college can crack 4.5.

Now take note:

How many conference titles and state championships for each team? Do you see the Scrappers playing down to little 2A teams?  Tradition, home field, and a lot of Scrapper fans will mean Dardanelle will be coming home thinking of next year and wanting to be like Nashville.

QuoteAs a former Parade All-American Knighten has one gift that none of the other quarterbacks in the competition possess.

That gift is the blazing speed that made him one of the most difficult players on the team to catch during spring workouts last April. It also made Knighten a very-highly sought recruit two years ago.

"I have a little bit of spurt-ability, or that's what people have called it," Knighten said. "Speed may be the better word. That's the one thing that I can bring to the table."

Knighten was timed at 4.5 seconds in the 40-yard dash at different camps before his arrival at Arkansas State, according to different sources. It was that speed that led to a highly successful high school career at Pulaski Academy and several state, regional and national awards

Sand Lizards fans may feel invincible but I promise your coaches know the tradition of the Nashville home field advantage in a good year.  Nashville takes more fans to away games than home teams bring let alone what they will see on the hill.  Dardanelle fans better hope that the Scrappers are looking past this game to a possible rematch with Warren.  That's the game of the 4A this year..not the Sand Lizards.

And what do u know about NASHVILLE
The team is pretty good, run defense not great.

The run defense is actually pretty good.  If you watched the PG game you saw a Nashville defense that gave up very little when it mattered.  In the second half, the Scrappers scored so fast that the Nashville defense could not get off of the field.  When it counted, the defense bottled up the PG run game and allowed little to nothing.  The late rushing yards accumulated when the game was out of hand.

The Fountain Lake game was a total coaching brain fart.  Nashville went in to that game with Plan A  and when it didn't work, they had no plan B.  Bad, bad game plan and FL made them pay for it big time.  FL exploited Nashville's alignments.

Nashville has given up little on the ground this year with the exception of the FL game where the defense was beaten by alignment before the ball was snapped.  Chalk that drubbing up to a lack of a defensive game plan or adjustment.  Nashville, in my humble opinion, is not the team they were in 05,06,07,08 or 09 but they are formidable up front and dangerous at the skill positions.

Fredi Knighten is pretty quick
Michael Perry from Pottsville ran a 4.35 forty which was by watch which in laser time probably translates to a 4.45 forty.

polksalet

Perry and northcross are faster than the majority of running backs at nfl combine.

Seems legit.

scrapiron51

You have to realize, running backs at the NFL combine will weigh between 210 and 225 on average. So it is possible for a 180 pound high school kid to run faster than someone at the combine. Forty times are very misleading. As far as Thompson goes, he is fast, just check his highlights. He will not be fast enough to run all over Nashville though.

Every position player on a stop watch usually runs a 4.4... Then when they get lasered, if they do. It's much higher. MP is average speed in college for a position player. He doesn't stand out. As for the Dard qb. Probably a 4.8
