Singer Dan Fogelberg died Sunday morning at his home in Maine after a brave battle with prostate cancer.  You may remember his hit songs from the '80's, such as "Longer", "Run For The Roses", "Same Old Lang Syne", and "Leader Of The Band".  Dan used Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture" as the tune in "Same Old Lang Syne".
God sure has some great music up there, as Dan joins another of my favorite singer in that Heavenly Band, Luther Vandross.
R.I.P. Dan Fogelberg.  Your music still lives on.

Leader of the Band made me think of my dad.  His music told stories that touched most everyone in some way.

I tried to post this on Sunday but it never would let me.
What a loss and he was still quite young....only 56.

He will be missed.

I was shocked to hear that on the radio the other day.  Although the majority of his songs were pretty sappy, they were good.  I don't know if he ever released a bad song.  Rest in peace Dan, you will be missed.
