A difficult 4-set win for Booneville against Union Christian (25-16 17-25 25-20 25-21).

We were without our starting middle hitter who was sick, but I also credit Union, they played a terrific match. We had girls off the bench come through when they had to. One of the setters was struggling and another came in and did well.

Lady Cats now 16-2, 8-0 in conference.

Valley Springs moves to 14-0 in the conference winning in 3 over Green Forest tonight.

Cotter beats Flippin in 4 to hang on to the 6th spot in the conference.

So what's going on in the 4A East? Harrisburg beat Brookland in 5. But earlier, Brookland beat Westside in 4 and Westside beat Harrisburg in 5. ?? Who is really the better team of those 3?

3A West:

Booneville sweeps Mulberry
Paris sweeps Mansfield
Union beats Lavaca in 4
WF had Elkins in non conference. I'm sure WF won.

All the conference teams have at least 5 league losses except Booneville and Paris.

On Monday Booneville takes on Mena at Booneville in nonconference play. This could be a humdinger of a match with both teams playing very well.
