Phone Problem

Can someone help me with a small problem I'm having?  I bought a Blackberry 7290 Series cell phone on E-Bay.  I can't get the radio to come on, and activate the blue tooth.
I have Cingular, but it came with an AT&T sims card (does that matter?).

I don't think that should matter since Cingular technically is no more, it's just AT&T and you could keep your Cingular stuff.  You just can't buy anything new that says Cingular on it.  As for your problem, I dunno, I've never used one of those.
