Good ballgame?
Unfortunately I wasn't there, a parent of one of the players was keeping me updated with the score.

I couldn't make it either tonight, but Bay played without their only senior and team captain.  She's missed all 3 games this week with the flu.

Score was a lot closer than I expected given Bay was without their best defender tonight.

Salem girls beat Pangburn, Marmaduke and Mammoth Spring in a 7 day span..

Pangburn always has great record but turns out to not be very good every year. Plays an extremely weak schedule.

Eagle_Mom_2

"Weak schedule" set them up pretty well to make state semis last year then I guess.
That's a solid team with multiple scorers and they're very well coached and mix up a lot to throw at you.
And 4 of 5 starters back from that team so...yeah they're pretty good in my estimation

Pangburn had all of their starters playing. Had trouble containing Concord's sophomore post players and fouled a ton. Concord shot 40 free throws. In the boys game, Concord got out to 13-0 start and never looked back. Pangburn played with 4 players late in the fourth due to 4 fouling out, and Concord shot 37 free throws.

To add to this, Pangburn girls fouled 26 total times, Concord 20. Biggest difference in game was Concord was up fifteen after three quarters and they spread them out and forced more fouls. Foul count was 29-20 Pangburn in boys and Concord spread it out as well.
