I completely agree that track and football don't necessarily correlate meaning if a team dominates track then you should expect 7 to 10 win seasons. Cause you are certainly correct they won't always correlate. However, there is no way that Waldron should be going 0-10 to 2-8 every season with that much natural speed roaming its hallways. That's a culture problem and lack of football commitment from the community/parents stating the obvious we all know.
