Big game on Friday for both. Salem looks pretty solid/balanced on offense. Going to be HUGE crowd/homecoming for MT so should be rowdy crowd. Biggest thing for MT if Coleman can go. Hasn't practiced much all week.

mtindian42

Marked Tree (4-3, 1-2 2A-3) used a balanced offense to beat Strong 34-18 in non-conference action this past Friday in Pine Bluff. Jack Brown completed six of eleven passes for 184 yards and two touchdowns to go along with 32 yards rushing a touchdown to lead the Indians. Coleman had 53 yards rushing with a touchdown and two-point conversion as Julian Booker also had 53 yards rushing and a two-point conversion. Kentarius Allen caught four passes for 91 yards and a touchdown as Coleman had a 73 yard touchdown catch. Braidin Hall, Chase Tilley and Coleman each had six tackles on defense as Allen had an interception and Tilley recovered a fumble.

Player of the game: sophomore- jack Brown

lol. It's just a MT and EPC thing we don't care for one another. The burg would be a good match up for us. I to believe it would be a fun game to watch.

You better not look past Rector. If they move that undefeated Jr high team up they may give the turnover prone Indians some issues.

may do it. Just have to Waite and see. MT plays there game it should be over by the 2nd quarter tho. See you soon!😄

The only thing that will hinder us this week is if we look ahead to CC. I would still sit out Coleman this week so he can be healthy for CC.

They moved a few up I think. Didn't make much of a difference. We ran 5 plays had 3 touchdowns of 30 plus yards and they didn't have a tackle until the 6th play and gave up a touchdown on the 7th. Going to be another couple of years before that group turns things around there. If it wasn't for us playing Earle the same night Id go watch them and Midland play.

Rector did not move jr high up for the EPC game. That would have meant games on back to back nights for those boys.

I wasn't for sure. But ours were on the sideline and played in the game. So the back to back night thing is invalid. the fact also remains that even if they move them up they would have to be really, really good to make a difference this year at the senior high level.

Indians season in review:

Started out with a bang! Right out the shoot at Clarendon Indians was in a major scrap. That would end 38-37 (Good Guys)

The Next week would see county rival Harrisburg come to town. It would be a Night to remember for the Indians as they would Run wild and win the game 58-20.

The following week would not be good for the young Indians as they would fall to 4A Member Westside 35-6

The Next week would be the same as big time rival EPC would pay a visit to The Don Lovell Field. The Indians would fall 36-16.

After back to back defeats the Indians would look to get back on track against power house Earle at home. It would be a night to forget as the dawgs would roll threw the tribe 49-8.

Coming off 3 straight losses the team was Down. Wallace and staff was preaching it's going to be ok guys.just hang in there we together can get this fixed...then it was off to midland for a date with the Mustangs. The Indians would blow threw the up and coming stangs 48-6

And then came a date with the Bulldogs at Pine Bluff high school. MT would look to overcome its past and finally get a win over the Dawgs. They would do just that as the Indians would take down the Dogs 34-18

Homecoming night!!! Would see a very tough Salem team come to town. But the young Indians had something to prove. Wallace: here is your chance guys to redem yourselves and save your season. The Indians was simply not going to be turned away on this night. Late in the 4th the hounds would try a FG for the win. Booker would remember what coach had said. (This is your chance guys) and get just one finger on the ball to cause it to go wide left. Indians win!!! Brian says on the loud speakers!!! 30-28.

The next Friday would see the Indians head to Rector a place we dread going. It is the same story every time Flag city. The Indians would overcome the Cougars and the refs and get the win 32-0

next up cross county can the Indians play together and get a big win? Find out next time on 42s tribe Chanel.

Go Blue! Go Gold! Roll Tribe...
