Our offense spreads the load out pretty good when you have 2 fullbacks that can take it 70+ yards at any given time or pound and get 6 yards a carry it don't leave much but when he does carry it he scores so there is no need for more carries he ran 3 plays in the second half and scored on all 3 but one was called back

Hampton is for sure the class of the 8, the only other teams in the 8 with a victory over a team with a winning record is Bearden over rison and chg over smackover both are 1 game above 500. The rest of the wins are over teams at or below .500.

I could see saving him for the playoffs but I don't think that's what they are doing. I seen them when they play harmony grove. They would have monta at qb and have him hand it off for a two yard loss, then pitch out for no gain, then move him back to Running back and bring another qb in to pitch it out to him for a 15 yard game. Doesn't make since. Why not have him in the backfield anyway and put the game away early instead of having to win it late. That worked against harmony grove but will it work against teams like England in the playoffs. Also I understand if you have other backs that can carry the ball and giving them the 5 or 6 carries apiece a game while Monta gets 20
but not giving Monta 10 and the others 12 to 15. It's going to come back and bite them you watch. It's like the cowboys saying sure Elliott can run the heck out of the ball but so can Afred Morris so let's give Elliott 10 carries a game and Morris 15 and save Elliott for the playoffs.

The offense is working because of the big play potential of Monta. I agree with you on your "why not let him run more" philosophy, but guys like Hegler & Childs will pound you into submission. They open lanes for Monta just as Monta create opportunities for them. It's tough tackling 3 200 pound backs play after play for 4 quarters. It physically & mentally drains high school players. Until you've seen them play you have no idea what type of monster is running at you. BTW they are big, tough, strong & fast. To spice it up a little I must add the fact that they all run extremely hard.

Here comes the ole, "if it ain't broke don't fix it saying." Heard that from my son a month ago when his check engine light came on. Now his truck is out of commission. Too bad he didn't adress the problem when his truck was still running smooth and he had the warning. But then again you can't tell nothing to a young man who thinks he knows it all. He has to experience it. Just like you can't tell nothing to a program or its fans that hasn't had this experience before. I could be wrong but I say make the adjustments now or enjoy the RIDE while it last lol.
