The biggest question here is whether the Go-Devils can make it competitive with the Dragons.

Taking a look through recent history, I find it a bit amusing that the Greyhounds have experienced a similar trajectory to Ozark this decade, the biggest difference being that the Hillbillies have won as many playoff games under their current HC as Salem has won in its entire history. The Redbugs are intent on clinching their first final in 28 years.

Harding Academy @ Prescott (10)
In the blink of an eye, the Wildcats go from consecutive seasons under 10 wins for the first time this century to playing for a spot in the final. The Curley Wolves were probably a pick away from a title last year, and are looking to avoid a repeat.

Camden Harmony Grove @ Osceola (10)
The Noles have gotten close the past two years and are looking to close the deal; The Hornets are wondering where on Earth their FF team page has gone. (Seriously: the link sends you to a video highlight against Genoa Central as of this writing.)

Shiloh (20) @ Crossett
It wasn't unreasonable to expect either Nashville or Arkadelphia (if not both) to make it this far, so the fact that neither did should be indicative of how explosive this game could be. The Eagles have an unusual depth chart, starting a sizable core of sophomores despite a large senior class. The Saints look to finally wash the bad taste that got in their mouths in last year's semifinal.

Ozark @ Robinson (10)
This rematch of last year's quarterfinal features two teams that are a combined 4 points away from being unbeaten. The massive turnover last offseason hasn't seemed to affect the Sens yet as they find themselves bearing the sole standard out of the 7. Much has been spoken about the Hillbillies' team health this season, but that has set up some untapped potential that threatens to emerge for as long as they keep playing. Facing a daunting semifinal is nothing new for Ozark (Fordyce in '92, Highland in 2012) but the bottom line is that JTR is the toughest team they've faced yet this year.

Pulaski Academy (10) v LR Christian
We 4A folks remember the private school firestorm that was at its strongest at the last turn of the decade, and now the 5A folks have come to a boil over the same subject. It doesn't help that outside leagues courting the smaller institutions that escape statewide scrutiny are restricting what seem like more sensible options (or, at least, what might be expected at the secodary level). As for the game itself, the Bruins still have a chip on their shoulder over letting the last two meetings get away.

Benton (10) v Searcy
How fitting that the two teams to beat Greenwood this year now face each other for all the marbles. The Panthers have gotten really hot in recent weeks, but still have plenty of experience in clinching close contests.

NLR v Bryant (10)
This feels like a mirror image of what happened last year. the Hornets' surprising title finish last year vaulted them to the pinncle of the sport in Arkansas this season, a position reinforced by their win over the Charging Wildcats in the regular season. Of course, that just gives NLR a window to sneak up and avenge their recent losses this week.
