Westside will play the loser between Monticello and Star City next week in Magnolia on the 27th @ 8:30pm. Should be a win for Westside. Who will then play the winner of the North Region between #2 Pottsville and #12 Morrilton in the Quarterfinals on Friday March 1st at 5:30.

LR McClellan will play the 4th Seed from the North Region (Ozark or Dardenalle) on the 27th @ 5:30. They win that first round Matchup they will play the winner of the South Region between Star City and Monticello in the Quarterfinals on 2/28 @8:30.

Loser between #1 Mills and #5 Blytheville tonight will get a first round bye and face the winner between #6 Magnolia and either Ozark/Dardenelle on Friday March 1st @ 8:30 in Magnolia in the Quarterfinals of the State Tourney.

Technical on a highland girl for raising her shirt up out of frustration.  Bad call. Brookland up 57-54 with 1:43 to go.

Same call as last night against McClellan by the same ref. I hate it that it probably altered the game outcome. However the ref is doing his job. Bobby being out of the box was also the right call.  Yes they came at a critical time but that's commonly when a player fouls out and when a coach's emotions are running high. You can forgive a kid for making a mistake, and that's what it was in both cases! You could see the surprise on both players faces. They didn't know.

Mills didn't run away with this regional, but they showed why they're the best. For now.

Congratulations to Mills and The Ville. For all the bickering and cheerleading when it was all said and done the two top teams came out on top.

PA can shoot the lights out, they played tough and gritty but simply over matched. Batesville is still not playing as good as capable but they are cleaning it up. PA and Highland are 2 great teams that can do some damage in state. Brookland is still playing much better then they are, when your a one trick pony good teams can exploit that. I can honestly say PA is probably the best team Batesville has played in the 4A. They had a mediocre season but are clicking on all cylinders now.

Hat's off to Highland, great facilities and great staff. Easy parking and located right on the highway. Very enjoyable tournament. Now onward to all the East Regional teams.
