Rules for placing ball on tee on kickoff

Whats the rule? Does it have to be "on" the tee? Or can it lean against the tee, one point on ground?  Can't find in rule book.  Just says no more than 2" off ground.

2-24-7 says on the ground OR on a tee.  Doesn't say on the ground leaning on a tee...guess I am being too literal. LOL.

You've got to put them all together and focus on what a kickoff really is: a free kick.
