Beebe Coach Bill Pruitt

Recently, it was announced that Coach Pruitt is retiring and that Assistant Coach Bronco King was promoted to the head coaching position.  I for one, want to say that Coach Pruitt will be missed.  Coach Pruitt had been at Beebe since 1970 and there's not a kid that hadn't been positively affected by Coach Pruitt, whether as an Agri student or one of his players.  Beebe had some great seasons under Coach Pruitt.  His teams in 1984, 1996, and 1997 all went undefeated and he had numerous teams that won conference championships, including 2005.  He also had a lot of great players play under him, including former Badger greats such as Tony Lockhart, Josh Price, Nic Bradley, Eric Featherston, Johnnie Williams, and a former Arkansas quarterback named Barry Lunney, Jr.

Coach Pruitt was great as a coach, a teacher but most of all as a man.  I know the Beebe School system will miss him dearly.
